Subject probably copyrighted, as such cannot be transferred to Commons. Also, questionable source and lack of metadata. Used only on a talk page namespace. JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 02:12, 5 August 2020 (UTC)

File is stated as copyrighted by Staats Pearl Collection, despite being said as "released for use by the public," which I believe won't pass Wikimedia Commons standards, considering that it lacks metadata, it might be a scanned reproduction that is still copyrighted (assuming the uploader's desc is correct). It might also mean that it can only be used for Wikipedia, but not outside it. Also being used on a talkpage namespace (and not on main article). These files were originally meant to be of fair use, as evidenced by their histories. Exempli gratia, at this revision of File:Im history08.jpg: "Image is copyrighted by Silver Ventures Inc. Silver Ventures has given written authorization for this image to be used on Wikipedia's article on the Pearl Brewing Company. Image is used here under permission, but may not be reused anywhere else or altered in any form without prior written authorization of Silver Ventures Inc." For some reason they were made "free" by the uploader, without specifying why. Files with such questionable histories cannot be welcomed at Commons. Should I attempt to move them to Commons, I might get an undesirable notice there. JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 03:40, 5 August 2020 (UTC) Also affected:

No source linked, very unlikely to be freely licensed ("source: Instagram"). First and only file uploaded by a WP:SPA. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:19, 5 August 2020 (UTC)

Per WP:NFCC, we should not be using multiple covers were they are not significantly different. ≫ Lil-Unique1 -{ Talk }- 09:43, 5 August 2020 (UTC)

This image has the following timeline:
This appears an attempt to evade scrutiny of a problematic image through recreation on a different project and is, in substance, a recreation of deleted content (WP:CSD#G4). The en.wiki upload does not remedy the concerns (copyright or notability) presented at the Commons. Image, for example, is low res, has no camera metadata, uploader has been altering EXIF (compare en.wiki to Commons version(s)), multiple users credited under "self" claim, etc. Эlcobbola talk 15:05, 5 August 2020 (UTC)
