I'm not so sure that I agree with User:Stefan2's reading of WP:NFCC#8. I don't see it as necessarily forbidding wraparound front-back cover images. But this is not worth an exercise wiki-lawyering. The result of the discussion was: CLosing and tagging the file for reduction. Long standing practice here is that non-free images are automatically reduced to thumbnail size of approx 100k pixels and I have tagged the image as such. The images are stored in sufficient resolution to show in articles, not so that they can be viewed as separate items - Peripitus (Talk) 21:39, 16 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Violation of WP:NFCC#3b: the purpose of the image is to use it in an article, but the article only uses 350x219 pixels. The remaining pixels are unnecessary. Stefan2 (talk) 21:19, 20 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

• Oppose deletion, which seems misunderstood to me. People can click on the image to see the whole image. An image's usefulness to the reader isn't just the thumbnail in the article, which is just that - an unintelligibly small thumbnail which exist for the user to click on to see the actual image. Also, the fair-use criteria such as stopping a sale of the work (the game) are obviously non-problematic, since nobody ever didn't buy a video game because the screenshot was good enough.     • Stefan, you are a self-appointed policeman making up ad hoc rules. WP:NFCC does not contain the expressions "can do with" or "as small as possible". There is no objective measure for either of these supposed criteria. People click on thumbnails to get a clearer view of something that they could not see to their satisfaction. It happens all the time -- In Windows Explorer, in Photoshop, and in Wikipedia.
