Portal:Hudson Valley[edit]

This portal was last nominated almost three years ago. Since then, the articles under WP:HUDSON's purview have improved considerably, in both number and quality. The stats for the portal are currently:

46 selected articles (35 are GA or better)
90 sets of DYKs (3 per set, all hooks have appeared on the main page, though some have been slightly copyedited)
15 selected biographies (6 are GA or better)
69 selected pictures
21 selected panoramas

I'm going to shamlessly co-nom as Gyrobo personally suggested. I created the foundation of the portal years ago, and gradually several people have been improving it and its related content, so I think it's finally ready. Juliancolton (talk) 20:02, 9 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The selected panoramas are scaled to a 1000px width. This will cause overflow on lower resolutions, but reducing the horizontal size to compensate would make it difficult to see the images. Support - I don't see a pressing problem with it. It's honestly quite good, and from where I stand, the panorama looks quite nice. I would suggest possibly moving it up. I can see that'll take some organizing effort, yet it'll pay off to have it located neatly along with the other features. Anyway, I support this with almost no hesitation. Comment: Three (3) supports, no opposes, no significant outstanding objections, if there are no other comments in opposition to promotion, this portal will likely be closed as featured after a short time to allow for further feedback.
