- Review by kotra (talk): When I saw this editor review, I was surprised to learn that you've only been here for a month. I had assumed you were a veteran editor, judging by your wikiproject work and general good judgment. Overall, your work has been pretty faultless, at least judging by my cursory examination of your contributions. Your AfDs (at least, the two I've seen) are well-reasoned and worthwhile (some would say those two obviously don't meet Wikipedia's criteria and would prefer to speedy delete them, but I feel that it's almost always best to give editors a chance to defend articles, even if it seems like an obvious delete to you and me). You seem to almost always use edit summaries, which is a big plus. I've only seen one fault in your editing which was that one of your copyediting jobs was only about halfway complete when you removed the ((Copyedit)) tag. I finished it up (if you have questions or disputes about the copyediting I did there, I'd be glad to talk about it on my talk page), so no harm done. But in the future, I recommend using the Show preview button more often to double-check if there's anything else to fix before you remove the copyedit tags. - Yes I've noticed that notice board *grin* I'm not very active in that project at the moment because I'm the sort of person who plunges deeply into things if they are important to me, and leaves much of the rest behind. And talking about RfAs, I've paid a few visits to WP:RFA (it makes for some interesting reading...) and it seems to me that the best nominees are those who actually need the tools, and the tools are little more than a metaphorical broom and dustpan set; and that admins are not higher-ups, just a bunch of Wikipedians who do different tasks. So I decided that I won't aim for adminship until I one day realize that I'm interested in the tasks they do and need the tools. - Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- I can think of at least two. First, the article I created Underground City (Beijing), is particularly dear to me because I really enjoyed the experience of physically finding the actual place, and because I helped the article pass the GA review, a process which taught me a lot. Second, I am very proud of the WikiProject I started, Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles Needing Copy Edit because it is an affirmation to myself that I have learnt enough of the pipe syntax to create a reasonably nice-looking page, and because I feel that working on CAT:COPY is a very good cause that is very badly in need of such help.
- Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- I was involved in one case that involved my trying to explain to a user, who was desperately trying to create an article to be his (quite bizarre) biography, why his many articles had to be speedily deleted. The case ended up involving two other admins. It caused me stress because I never knew that admins could type so fast! I mean, gosh, they were replying at the speed of light. Are there programs out there that help with messaging? *smiles* I usually attempt to stay out of contentious discussions, and will try to explain things as nicely as possible if I happen to be dragged into one...
