Nominator's rationale: rename to avoid the misunderstanding that these might be historians of the Ottoman dynasty which is not the case (for the top category) and to avoid the misunderstanding that the subject of these historians might be the Ottoman Empire which is not the case either (for all these categories). Nominator's rationale: This is unnecessary as it contains just small subcategories that just duplicate those for Category:Comics by genre.. All comic strips are comics and can be covered in Category:Comics by genre. The only thing unique to comic strips is Category:Gag-a-day comics which can be retained, everything should be deleted and upmerged (ex. Category:Adult comic strips to Category:Adult comics, Category:Detective comic strips to Category:Detective comics, etc.). The only other exception is the Category:Political comic strips which I proposed for renaming, as Category:Political comics doesn't exist yet (so it contains both comics and comic strips). I think comic strips should be kept separate from comic books. Comic strips are short, appear in newspapers, tend to be focused on humour, have a longer history. Comics books by contrast have longer stories that can be complete within one issue, have credited writers/plotters/scripters, pencillers, inkers, colorists, an extensive fandom with wikis, are sold separately. @Dongord Note the proposal does not suggest deleting neither the article about comic strips, nor its main category. I am just proposing that we don't need to have separate 'by genre' categories for regular comics and comic strips. A detective comic strip can be in category for comic strips, and detective comics. As their contents show, people often confuse comics with comic strips, and so comics are often improperly categorized as comic strips. See also discussion below.
