The result of the discussion was: rename. MER-C 19:28, 29 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Consistent with titles of main article Kyiv, parent categories Category:Religious leaders from Kyiv, Category:Christianity in Kyiv, Category:Bishops in Ukraine by diocese, sibling categories Category:Bishops of Lutsk, Category:Archbishops of Lviv, main article Bishop of Kyiv, subcategory’s main article Bishop of Kyiv (Roman Catholic).  —Michael Z. 23:53, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: rename. MER-C 19:29, 29 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Official name per website, this name has more Google Books search results by 34 to 14, more Google Scholar search results by 54 to 4, more Google News search results by 1 to 0, consistent with title of main article Kyiv, parent and sibling categories.  —Michael Z. 23:30, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: delete. Good Ol’factory (talk) 22:08, 2 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: The subjectivity of disliking makes this an inappropriate category for Wikipedia. Songwaters (talk) 19:24, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: merge for now to Category:Physical cosmology. If anyone wants to propose further changes to this categorization scheme, it should be allowed. Good Ol’factory (talk) 02:23, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: This isn't a meaningful distinction given that the categories only contain physical entities. There would only be a distinction in religious or esoteric context, according to Physical universe ghouston (talk) 08:55, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • It may become a disambiguation page, linking to both of them. Marcocapelle (talk) 06:16, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Films set in fictional populated places

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was: no consensus. Good Ol’factory (talk) 02:04, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: This is an overly broad category, encompassing a sizable fraction of films. The other subcategories of Category:Films set in a fictional location are more focused. Clarityfiend (talk) 05:55, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Comment @Marcocapelle, But even if the films have nothing in common in the they follow the general consensus of sharing a common setting theme of being fictious because of that they do not take place in a real location. using a fictional location can sometimes be used a plot device for some films. Such as being in a fictional city can implement Sci-fi elements into a story. And even if we finalize deleting this category we're going to have to delete the other similar parent categories. ֆօʍɛɮօɖʏǟռʏɮօɖʏ05 (talk) 12:22, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Films may well be categorized as Sci-fi, but that is regardless of the location. Marcocapelle (talk) 13:54, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Cultural depictions of Colonel Sanders

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was: delete. MER-C 19:09, 30 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Overly specific category with few articles in it, and little room for growth. Many similar cats were nominated on the 19th. power~enwiki (π, ν) 05:07, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep This category should be kept because the character Colonel sanders is pop culture figure synonymous with the fast food brand KFC. And it has room to grow as the colonel sanders has been feture on episodes of anime shows like Hayate no Gotoku, Dragonball z, Project A-Ko and Slayers.Link. He has also appeared in an episode of general hospital.Link. And it has plenty of potenial for growth.

Category:Surreal children's television series

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was: delete. MER-C 19:25, 29 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: I see no rational basis for the characterization here. What makes a kids show surreal? None of the articles use the word anywhere other than categorization. power~enwiki (π, ν) 04:43, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Question, if that is the case, wouldn't a rename or a dual merge be more appropriate than deletion? Marcocapelle (talk) 19:00, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: delete. MER-C 19:25, 29 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Propose deleting Category:Fathers of Secretaries of State of the United States (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
Nominator's rationale: I don't feel this is a WP:DEFINING category. We only have this for US Presidents, Vice Presidents, and Irish Taoisigh. Being related to a US Secretary of State isn't nearly as defining as President; many of those people had other positions that were as or more notable. power~enwiki (π, ν) 04:38, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Trauma Center

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was: rename for now, without prejudice to a future discussion for deletion, renaming, or merging. Good Ol’factory (talk) 02:07, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Trauma centers seems to be the most appropriate nomenclature for the place to categorize such facilities, as well as Trauma center and List of trauma centers in the United States. Gjs238 (talk) 02:01, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
