Nominator's rationale: WP:SMALL. This category contains only one article. The only article is already in the parent category Category:Currencies of Africa so no need to Upmerge. Asmodea Oaktree (talk) 21:44, 10 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: rename to Category:Panamanian physicians. (non-admin closure) --Trialpears (talk) 22:54, 20 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: To match all the other American categories. "medical doctors" is used for British and related categories, of which Panama is not one. Rathfelder (talk) 21:06, 10 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Your statement here is needless rude, provocative, and just plain wrong. It is not a sign of "laziness" to call people doctors, that is the common usage in the United States. People do say medical docotr. My search for the term, in quotes on google with in America added on without quotes produced over 5 million results. Here is one of the early ones [1]. How this compares with the level of the use of the term physician is harder to analize, but your claim that no one says medical doctor is just plain false.John Pack Lambert (talk) 18:06, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • The wording "call" and "calls" refer to using the term in everyday spoken conversation. JPL points to an online salary discussion, where MD may well be used to distinguish from DO, JD, LLD, PhD, etc. Wikipedia's policy is WP:COMMONNAME. Presumably, we are not explicitly excluding DO. Moreover, we are not specifically including psychiatrists, who are also MD.
    William Allen Simpson (talk) 12:06, 20 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • I am a bit lost in the abbreviations. What is DO, JD and LLD? Marcocapelle (talk) 13:29, 20 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Upmerge or delete altogether. Beyond just being listed in a discography section, there is no information on any of these EPs in the target article. The redirects might be useful but the category is not. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 19:41, 10 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Convert Category:List of ethnic enclaves in the Philippine Cities to article List of ethnic enclaves in Philippine cities

  • Propose renaming Category:Armenian Genocide deniers to Category:Deniers of the Armenian genocide
  • Propose renaming Category:Bosnian Genocide deniers to Category:Deniers of the Bosnian genocide
  • Propose renaming Category:Genocide of Serbs in the Independent State of Croatia deniers to Category:Deniers of Serbian genocide in Croatia
  • Propose renaming Category:Japanese war crime deniers to Category:Deniers of Japanese war crimes
Nominator's rationale: Alternative proposed in Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2020 December 1#Category:Bosnian Genocide deniers, closer suggested a group rename as a separate proposal. Having the event name first can cause confusion about the nationality of the deniers, rather than the ethnicity of the victims.

  • Propose Deleting/Listifying Category:Recipients of the Order of the Cloud and Banner
Nominator's rationale: Per WP:NONDEFINING (WP:PERFCAT, WP:OVERLAPCAT and WP:OCAWARD)
When foreign leaders visit the Republic of China/Taiwan, or vice versa, the Order of the Cloud and Banner is given out as souvenir to commemorate the visit. Dwight D. Eisenhower, Timofey Khryukin, and Andrew Cunningham, 1st Viscount Cunningham of Hyndhope, are not remotely defined by this award. (The award has also been given to Chinese generals, all of whom are already well categorized somewhere under Category:Chinese generals.) This award doesn't seem defining to either group and the recipients are now all listified here in the main article. - RevelationDirect (talk) 00:43, 10 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Propose Deleting/Listifying Category:Morgan Prize winners
Nominator's rationale: Per WP:NONDEFINING (WP:OCAWARD)
The Morgan Prize is a US$1,200 prize for an undergraduate students doing research in mathematics and I'm sure the award is initially defining for those promising young students. But Wikipedia doesn't have articles on promising young students. By the time these people are notable, the award is no longer defining and only gets mentioned in passing in the education or honours section, for example with Manjul Bhargava, Ciprian Manolescu or any other article you want to click on. The current contents are already listified here in the main article for any reader interested in the topic. - RevelationDirect (talk) 00:43, 10 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: I believe an album's recording studio is WP:NOTDEFINING. This nomination was inspired by Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of recordings made at Abbey Road Studios. This is also a test case, as there are a lot of album location categories. Clarityfiend (talk) 00:10, 10 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
