- Nominator's rationale: Per WP:SMALLCAT. Article is barely developed anyways, so it isn't clear what federations would be included here as members. –MJL ‐Talk‐☖ 19:13, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

- The result of the discussion was: rename as nominated. MER-C 10:16, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Nominator's rationale: Not a proper name, and revolts -> rebellions per parent categories. Constantine ✍ 18:50, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

- Rename per nom. Dimadick (talk) 14:10, 22 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Rename but to Category:Cretan revolts. The article Cretan Revolt lists rather more than appear in the category, but many seem to be called revolts, not rebellions. The two terms are very similar and I would not want us to change a parent because of one local usage. Peterkingiron (talk) 14:13, 23 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- As the creator of the Cretan Revolt dab page, I have absolutely no problem with moving it to "Cretan rebellions" or something like that. I chose "revolt" back then because (for whatever reason) this seemed to be used in the few extant articles, but this doesn't mean we should make a rule out of it. - Nominator's rationale: Unnecessary subcategory. Short Hills is within a majority portion of Millburn, and we normally do not have subcategories for neighborhoods. The entries in this category should be moved to "Category:People from Millburn, New Jersey" Tinton5 (talk) 03:09, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

- The result of the discussion was: speedy keep. Nomination withdrawn per discussion, without prejudice to renomination, of course, in the future. (non-admin closure) Doug Mehus T·C 13:04, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Nominator's rationale:
- The Liberal Party of Canada no longer has any senators; and,
- Similar categories by class have "senators" not capitalized.

- Oppose. There may not be any Liberal senators now, but there were historically, and that's how those senators were appointed and (with nine exceptions) served out their terms. Compare to Category:Progressive Conservative Party of Canada MPs, Category:Social Credit Party of Canada MPs, Category:Reform Party of Canada MPs, etc. — Kawnhr (talk) 04:04, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Kawnhr, I agree with you, this goes along with what I mentioned here : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2019_November_18 regarding the Senate Liberal Caucus. - MikkelJSmith (talk) 04:08, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose This is just not how our naming scheme works. The PC party no longer exists, but that doesn't mean we should rename Category:Progressive Conservative Party of Canada senators to Category:Former Progressive Conservative Party of Canada senators. Similarly, if someone played hockey for the New York Rangers and then left (to retire or join another team), we wouldn't remove Category:New York Rangers players from their page, or switch them to Category:Former New York Rangers players. In the eyes of the category system, they'll always be New York Rangers players. Colin M (talk) 06:03, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose - the opposers are correct. Oculi (talk) 10:49, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Kawnhr, MikkelJSmith2, Colin M, and Oculi, yes, I thought you someone might point out the defunct parties or the Conservative Party senators; however, consider that those are defunct parties. It is grossly misleading to characterize Independent Senators Group or Canadian Senators Group senators as also Liberal Party of Canada senators, particularly when, there there is a Progressive Senate Group of former independent Liberal senators who are also tagged with Liberal Party of Canada senators. Doug Mehus T·C 11:36, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- It's not misleading. David Owen (say) was in several different parties and is tagged with each one. Oculi (talk) 12:47, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
