Lowercase all category names. See discussion at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2018 July 5#Ancient Greece, in which it was concluded that the lowercase was appropriate in this kind of situation. Thanks to a query from a database dump, I believe that these are all the "Ancient Greece" categories with capital "Ancient", aside from those in which "Ancient" appears only initially. Nominator's rationale: As with Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2013_February_6#Category:American_given_names a few years back, the problem here is that few to none of these names are uniquely Canadian ones. A couple of them, I'll grant, have at least one owner who looms large in Canadian culture or history -- Gord Downie, Nelly Furtado, Mackenzie King, Sheila Copps -- but every name here can also be found in either the entire rest of the English-speaking world, or the entire rest of the French-speaking world, or sometimes even (Nelly) just pandemically anywhere. So none of them are defined by being found in Canada -- even the ones where Canada does get singled out for mention in the introduction, like Gord and Lorne, still aren't uniquely Canadian. Normally, categories like this are created for ethnicities, not nationalities, because ethnicities have a much stronger correlation with naming conventions than countries do (especially immigration-heavy multicultural countries like Canada or the United States, where literally any name from any part of the world might show up on somebody.) Update: Just so y'all don't get confused by the lack of a "Gord" page here after I talked about one in the nomination statement, I just wanted to clarify that I've since redirected the "Gord" page as not really needing a separate article from the given name list that already exists for "Gordon". By definition, any Gord is also a Gordon, because it's just a short-form nickname for a guy named Gordon and rarely if ever directly given as a non-Gordon given name in its own right, so it really doesn't need its own standalone page as a separate list from the Gordons. • Propose renaming Category:Christianity of the Middle Ages to Category:To be decided
Nominator's rationale:
Option A: "Christianity in the Middle Ages" was proposed as a speedy nomination, but without a valid rationale. It would match the parent Religion in the Middle Ages and only a few others.
Option B: "Medieval Christianity" would match the preceding Early Christianity & Late ancient Christianity, siblings Medieval Hinduism & Medieval Islam, and most national categories within Category:Middle Ages.
Option C: "Medieval history of Christianity" would match the succeeding Early Modern history of Christianity and Late Modern history of Christianity, and a couple of regional categories within Category:Middle Ages.
Option D, keep at current name, matching sub-cat Christians of the Middle Ages.
Option E would follow the main article History of Christianity during the Middle Ages. – Fayenatic London 08:20, 16 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
WP:COMMONNAME, and they aren't really "history of" categories. Johnbod (talk) 07:47, 26 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Admittedly "history of" is redundant in combination with Middle Ages. Marcocapelle (talk) 18:42, 26 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
