- Nominator's rationale: Is there something like an American-style garden? If there is, this category might be better named Category:American gardens.
But then again, even if that style exists, there's no main article and no specific content at all, and one of the two subcategories, Category:American landscape and garden designers, is already contained in the other, Category:Gardens in the United States. - Delete. I think somebody misunderstood the purpose of Category:Types of garden by country of origin — "Japanese gardens" and "Dutch gardens" are types of gardens, which can exist in any country and are not limited to Japan or the Netherlands. But there's no comparable phenomenon of a "United States garden" as such, which means this is just an unnecessary duplication of Category:Gardens in the United States. - Delete category is misused apparently per Bearcat; I haven't heard of any garden being bodily moved across national borders, so presumably the "origin" of these gardens is the US (perhaps with exceptions of those gardens established under some non-US rule in territories subsequently annexed to the US).
