Automatic, Supervised, or Manual: automatic

Programming language(s): Python (using pywikibot as the API)

Source code available: github

Function overview: Remove unblocked users from Category:Wikipedians who are indefinitely blocked for promotional user names

Links to relevant discussions (where appropriate):

Edit period(s): Periodic runs

Estimated number of pages affected: Unknown

Exclusion compliant (Yes/No): No

Already has a bot flag (Yes/No): Yes

Function details: Category:Wikipedians who are indefinitely blocked for promotional user names, while predominantly containing blocked users, does also contain those who have been unblocked (i.e. post-renaming). These unblocked instances should be removed. Making the edit as a minor bot edit (mb) will prevent it from pinging users unnecessarily.

The source code is currently not available as it has yet to be written, but this will be functionally identical to Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/TheSandBot 6, only its reverse/inverse (removing unblocked users instead of blocked).

Discussion[edit]
