The result was Delete . No real argument to keep, in the face of the argument that it is unreferenceable. The single argument to keep doesn't address this, but instead extols the subject's virtues. - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire - past ops) 20:57, 14 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Taijiquan journal[edit]

I'm not sure of what quality this article was in when it was prodded (and then deleted) in June 2008, but as far as the shape the article is in now, well, the article is written well, but a Google search only turns up links to blogs and LinkedIn pages. Even the only inline citation in the article leads to a page that only mentions the magazine's name in passing. THE AMERICAN METROSEXUAL 03:22, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello--I posted this magazine as it has been very influential in the field of taijiquan and is in numerous public and school library collections. The content of the print magazine and of the online editions has a high reputation for thoroughness and scholarly standards (this is often rare in martial arts publications). Thus, it seems that the magazine should be listed, as it serves as a good source for student and professional research and information. I've gone through and tweaked the posting to try to meet Wikipedia standards better.Taiji19 (talk) 03:58, 7 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Taijiquan is the name of the activity itself, as well as the particular magazine in this article. People who practice taiji/taijiquan/tai chi/t'ai chi ch'uan love the activity named taiji and numbers of them use that word (means "supreme ultimate") as part of screen names. Obviously, a magazine about the topic would be, nay, SHOULD be named after that topic. (See, for example Yoga Journal, and see how maybe someone might use "yoga54" as their handle.) If there are suggestions for improving the article, please suggest, but please don't assume anything here about names!Taiji19 (talk) 04:51, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
