Taco Casa[edit]

I'm listing this AfD because I highly doubt that this restaraunt has any coverage in reliable sources and I also think that its notability is quite questionable. Keep - I found these sources which I think bring the subject up to notability guidelines: Former Taco Casa manager accused of stealing $11k, ~~South of the Border on Paxton (Timeout)~~, Police: Man threatened Taco Casa employees, and ~~Restaurant cleared in hot cheese lawsuit~~. There were many other, which is not surprising considering this is a 40 year old chain. - Mr X 05:08, 6 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Delete as just not notable enough. It's a very generic name, there is little coverage on Taco Casa in general, and there seems to be more on the Tuscaloosa chain than on the Texas chain. Also, I removed the "Mexico-related discussion" listing: there's nothing Mexican about this. Drmies (talk) 05:59, 6 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Delete - I live in Texas and I believe I've seen these around and there wouldn't be much news coverage for a small and local taco place. Google News found one recent article here (minor mention) and Google News archives found nothing substantial and mostly articles for particular locations and minor mentions from customers or employees. I found this Fort Worth Star-Telegram article which mentions the company is based in Gainesville but I can't see much else in the small preview. As you continue farther in the next pages, the number of relevant results start to decrease but I found this NY Times article which actually mentions them but it's brief. I recently improved an article for a Pennsylvania-based restaurant chain Hoss's Steak and Sea House and that had received more significant news coverage than this. Not only is "Taco Casa" a simple name, it's generic enough for any business to be called that as we learned from the Tuscaloosa-based Taco Casa above. Additionally, Hispanic-owned businesses may also receive less attention than others but this isn't always the case. The two articles about crimes, of course, aren't sufficient for an article and a News search to support the 1972 establishment found nothing. SwisterTwister talk 20:59, 7 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
