Delete There is no objective criterion to determine membership, so qualification for the list is largely a matter of opinion on the part of the editor. How well does someone have to have mastered Arabic to qualify for the list? One year of college language study? Some classes at a mosque to help with reading the Koran? A military quick-course in useful Arabic phrases before posting in an Arabic speaking country? Born in and grew up in an Arabic-speaking family in an Arabic-speaking country?
