To expand on my own rationale: as far as I can tell, "businessperson" doesn't mean anything except "a person involved in business," and I don't know what encyclopedic content can be written about that topic (although I'm sure we could put together one heck of a "Businesspeople in popular culture" section!). Even the exceedingly vague description here doesn't seem to encompass the entire potential meaning of the term, and of course there are no references to support this description. Keep The reason why I'm in favour of keeping this article is that businessman and businesswoman redirect to here; both these words are very commonly used and linked, and it's likely that any person would search these terms. Keep. The social self-identification of being a "businessperson" surely could support an article. The reception of Sloan Wilson's novel The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit, which was widely referenced in sociological and anthropological literature for a while, is one starting point; another entry would be to distinguisn the difference between businesspeople and entrepreneurs. - Smerdis of Tlön - killing the human spirit since 2003! 14:50, 7 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
