I believe that this band is notable because it meets at least one of the criteria for notability, mainly Section 7 of the notability criteria for musicians and ensembles. Delete--I hate to say it, in this case, but Cannibaloki is right. One newspaper article does not significant coverage make (though I disagree with you here, Loki: it's good enough, but not enough), and I couldn't find anything in the local paper here either.
