I noticed that you reverted my edits to a number of documentation related templates because they are already being discussed at WP:RFD. This fact does not preclude them from being deleted under db-g6, IMHO. Those that I nominated are currently non-functioning because of the tag preceding the redirect and they became redirects because other, better, templates supplanted them. If they were useful redirects then I agree that they should not be deleted but they are not. I hope you will reconsider your action. I will not be bothered if you don't. –droll [chat] 17:05, 16 August 2010 (UTC)

SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from Nettrom (talk), SuggestBot's caretaker.

Hi,
Thanks for being one of SuggestBot's users! I hope you have found the bot's suggestions useful.
We are in the process of switching from our previous list-based signup process to using templates and userboxes, and I have therefore added the appropriate template to your user talk page. You should receive the first set of suggestions within a day, and since we'll be automating SuggestBot you will from then on continue to receive them regularly at the desired frequency.
We now also have a userbox that you can use to let others know you're using SuggestBot, and if you don't want to clutter your user talk page the bot can post to a sub-page in your userspace. More information about the userbox and usage of the template is available on User:SuggestBot/Getting Recommendations Regularly.
If there are any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me on my user talk page. Thanks again, Nettrom (talk) 17:36, 6 February 2011 (UTC)

Hello, My name is Natalia Ioana Olaru and I am a final year master student in the Corporate Communication programme at the Aarhus School of Business, Aarhus University, Denmark. I am currently working on my final paper on the topic of user motivation to create content on collaborative media websites, the focus being Wikipedia. As a sample I chose the English and Danish portals. I would like to invite you for an online interview on the topic of what motivates you, to participate in editing and creating articles for this platform. I plan on doing the actual interviews in the period between 1st and the 15th of May via Skype, MSN or Yahoo Messenger. I am, however, open to other channels of communication too. Please let me know if you would like to participate in this interview and the preferred channel.
Thank you, Natalia Olaru Email: natalia.ioana.olaru@gmail.com MulgaEscu (talk) 14:35, 11 April 2011 (UTC)

TO: Xaosflux (the admin who deleted and protected the term CREALITY on wikipedia.com)
PLEASE explain to me why this page is deleted and cannot be created, and HOW in the world could Stephen Colbert have the rights to use this word exclusively.
I am the SOLE owner of a business named Creality, LLC licensed in the US, incorporated in 2006, but doing business as Creality since 2002. As of 2010, to the best of my knowledge, this is the only business run and operated in the United States using the term Creality.
More importantly than the legal and business use of the term, Creality is an idea conceived over decades of painstaking research and academic study by the very first person to ever receive the Doctorate of Anthropology from the University of Belgrade, my father, Momir Nikic, PhD. After a lot of research on our end, and as agreed by academics and social analysts using the word (including Luis Demiranda from France, who we believe later came up with the concept independently as well), it is currently agreed that Momir Nikic is the first person to ever use the word in a PUBLISHED sense in an anthropological article called 'The Matrix of Differences', published in 1991 and first exposed at the AAASS (American Association for Advancement of Slavic Studies); He later published an entire BOOK on the subject, published in Serbian in 2002.
The Cobert report did not even air publicly until October 2005. At this point, my father has been using the term and promoting it for OVER A DECADE.
Please consider and respond. By not allowing me to publish this information, and by not allowing the public to comment and debate on it, you are engaging in a form of censorship that I do NOT believe is your INTENT. However, now that I have informed you of the facts, I certainly expect that you will reverse your decision, or at the very least EXPOSE the real reasons/claims/legal documents that prevent you from doing so, so that we may begin an open and honest discussion about the subject. On my end, I am certainly prepared to provide any and all documents necessary to prove/support my claims.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely, Svetlana Nikic http://www.creality.info
More Information on the anthropological development of the term can be found here: http://www.crealism.info/
"The term was coined by Momir Nikic, Ph. D., anthropologist and writer, in early 1990s, during his researches and studies at Museum of Mankind, Oxford and Brown universities. At first, it was presented as new position in Literature and Art in opposition to other approaches (Realism, Modernism, Postmodernism). Initially exposed at AAASS (American Association for Advancement of Slavic Studies) it was posted on Internet www. geocities. com/moshanik in a specific paragon scheme (side by side comparison of different views on the world and artistic creation) called Matrix of Differences (1991).
Later on the author published a book Krealizam (2002) presented on the Net by electronic journal Kritika etc. on the West Washington University portal. The main essay Crealism and Matrix of Differences are available in English > Crealities." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Crealityweb (talk • contribs) 22:48, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Stolibottle.PNG. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 20:02, 3 August 2011 (UTC)

Greetings Xaosflux-
My name is Randall Livingstone, and I am a graduate student at the University of Oregon, currently collecting data for my dissertation on Wikipedia editors who create and use bots and assisted editing tools, as well as editors involved in the initial and/or ongoing creation of bot policies on Wikipedia. As a member of BAG and the bot community, I would very much like to interview you for the project at a time and in a method that is most convenient for you (Gchat, another IM client, Skype, email, telephone, etc.). I am completely flexible and can work with your schedule. The interview will take approximately 30-45 minutes.
My dissertation project has been approved both by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at the University of Oregon, and by the Research Committee at the Wikimedia Foundation. You can find more information on the project on my meta page.
Please let me know if you have any questions, and I look forward to hearing from you to set up a time to chat. Thank you very much.

**EDIT**: I've just created a subpage within UBX, nevermind =)
Hi,
I was trying to create a template, but I got the message that you deleted the template years ago.
((userbox
| title = User Gmail
| border-c = #90A3BD
| id = '
| id-c = #FFFFFF
| id-fc = #000000
| id-s = 14
| info = <center>This user uses Gmail as a primary email service.</center>
| info-c = #F0F8FF
| info-fc = #000000
| info-s = 8
))
Was it the same template or can I go ahead and create it?
And BTW, I was curious about the top box you have, long story short, you have this message on the User:Xaosflux/Head1

Dear Xaosflux,
My name is Jonathan Obar user:Jaobar, I'm a professor in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences at Michigan State University and a Teaching Fellow with the Wikimedia Foundation's Education Program. This semester I've been running a little experiment at MSU, a class where we teach students about becoming Wikipedia administrators. Not a lot is known about your community, and our students (who are fascinated by wiki-culture by the way!) want to learn how you do what you do, and why you do it. A while back I proposed this idea (the class) to the communityHERE, where it was met mainly with positive feedback. Anyhow, I'd like my students to speak with a few administrators to get a sense of admin experiences, training, motivations, likes, dislikes, etc. We were wondering if you'd be interested in speaking with one of our students.
So a few things about the interviews:
Bottom line is that we really need your help, and would really appreciate the opportunity to speak with you. If interested, please send me an email at obar@msu.edu (to maintain anonymity) and I will add your name to my offline contact list. If you feel comfortable doing so, you can post your nameHERE instead.
If you have questions or concerns at any time, feel free to email me at obar@msu.edu. I will be more than happy to speak with you.
Thanks in advance for your help. We have a lot to learn from you.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Obar --Jaobar — Preceding unsigned comment added by 35.9.115.210 (talk) 21:53, 2 March 2012 (UTC)

Xaosflux, I invite you to the yearly Berlin hackathon, 1-3 June. Registration is now open. If you need financial assistance or help with visa or hotel, then please register by May 1st and mention it in the registration form.
This is the premier event for the MediaWiki and Wikimedia technical community. We'll be hacking, designing, teaching, and socialising, primarily talking about ResourceLoader and Gadgets (extending functionality with JavaScript), the switch to Lua for templates, Wikidata, and Wikimedia Labs.
We want to bring 100-150 people together, including lots of people who have not attended such events before. User scripts, gadgets, API use, Toolserver, Wikimedia Labs, mobile, structured data, templates -- if you are into any of these things, we want you to come!
I also thought you might want to know about other upcoming events where you can learn more about MediaWiki customization and development, how to best use the web API for bots, and various upcoming features and changes. We'd love to have power users, bot maintainers and writers, and template makers at these events so we can all learn from each other and chat about what needs doing.
Check out the the developers' days preceding Wikimania in July in Washington, DC and our other events.
Best wishes! - Sumana Harihareswara, Wikimedia Foundation's Volunteer Development Coordinator. Please reply on my talk page, here or at mediawiki.org. Sumana Harihareswara, Wikimedia Foundation Volunteer Development Coordinator 21:34, 4 April 2012 (UTC)

Hey there :). You're being contacted because you're an edit filter manager, At the moment, we're developing Version 5 of the Article Feedback Tool, which you may or may not have heard about. If you haven't; for the first time, this will involve a free-text box where readers can submit comments :). Obviously, there's going to be junk, and we want to minimise that junk. To do so, we're working the Abuse Filter into the tool.
For this to work, we need people to write and maintain filters. I'd be very grateful if you could take a look at the discussion here and the attached docs, and comment and contribute! Thanks :). Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 18:36, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

Hi Xaosflux! I'm the Wikipedian In Residence at the World Digital Library, a project of the Library of Congress and UNESCO. I'm recruiting Wikipedians who are passionate about history & culture to participate in improving Wikipedia using the WDL's vast free online resources. Participants can earn our awesome WDL barnstar and help to disseminate free knowledge from over 100 libraries in 7 different languages. Multilingual editing encouraged!!! But being multilingual is not a necessity to make this project a success. Please sign up to participate here. Thanks for editing Wikipedia and I look forward to working with you! We are currently running a study on the effects of adding additional information to SuggestBot's suggestions. Participation in the study is voluntary. Should you wish to not participate in the study, or have questions or concerns, you can find contact information on the SuggestBot study page.
IMPORTANT CHANGES: We have modified the selection of articles SuggestBot suggests and altered the design to incorporate more information about the articles, as described in this explanation.
Note: All columns in this table are sortable, allowing you to rearrange the table so the articles most interesting to you are shown at the top. All images have mouse-over popups with more information.
We have changed the number of suggested articles and which categories they are selected from. The number of stubs has been greatly reduced, the number of articles needing sources doubled, and two new categories added (orphans and unencyclopaedic articles). We have also modified the layout of the suggestions and added sortable columns with various types of information about each article. The first two columns are:
The method we use to predict article quality also allows us to assess whether an article might need specific types of work in order to improve its quality. The work needed might not correspond to cleanup tags added to the article, since our method is not based on those. We have added five columns reflecting this work assessment, where a red X indicates improvement is needed. Placing your cursor over an X should give you a pop-up with a short description of the work needed. The five columns seek to answer the following five questions:

I request your attention to Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Lovysinghal. Since User:Jreferee advised me there that "Acting on a self-requested block is not something MfD can do", please block me for an indefinite period without blocking my IP and allowing me to edit my talk page. To the best of my knowledge, there are no pending issues involving me on en.wiki. However, please feel free to confirm it for yourself before you go ahead with the block. As per User:Michaelzeng7's suggestion, I also request Wikipedia:Courtesy vanishing if that is possible without any more fuss and if you think that might lead to more privacy benefits for me.
Thanks in advance. The request is for personal reasons alone. Hoping for maximum possible cooperation at your end. Lovy Singhal (talk) 16:52, 5 October 2013 (UTC)

Do you mean the table itself? If so, no. It's automatically generated. The descriptions of the rights come from pages like MediaWiki:Right-autoconfirmed and the names of the groups from pages like MediaWiki:Group-autoreviewer. Mr.Z-man 16:00, 20 April 2014 (UTC)

Hello Fellow X,
I've stepped up my activity to a level just below wiki-addiction. You should too, old friend... there are always backlogs that can benefit from wise mopping! Best wishes, Xoloz (talk) 02:57, 21 April 2014 (UTC)
I think it is extremely poor form to close a MfD as a speedy keep without actually referring to any policies, especially when you then add a note to the image page which is highly irregular (there is rarely any need for a Commons image to have any file page locally). I'm also unsure what you feel should have been merged, as there was not a single source cited, and there are, I believe, technical restrictions on moving from the file space. Your action was hardly uncontroversial, and so I consider a speedy keep completely inappropriate. I've gone ahead and deleted the page myself, as it was a copyvio. Hi. There are a couple of revisions missed at User talk:Juuuuuan. See [1], and [2]. Could you take care of this? Thanks. -- Whpq (talk) 15:37, 17 May 2014 (UTC)

Hi. You were the admin who handled Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User talk:Juuuuuan, so I thought I would call your attention to the fact that this editor is at it again. I've nominated the talk page again for deletion, but perhaps you can review and expedite based on this being a repeat of previous behaviour that the editor has already been warned about. Regards. -- Whpq (talk) 00:12, 5 June 2014 (UTC)
Thank you for enabling Autopatrolled for me. At some point I would like to move towards becoming an Admin. Maybe I can work with you on achieving that goal. Again, thank you! --Canyouhearmenow 18:15, 7 June 2014 (UTC)
