A belated welcome![edit]

Sorry for the belated welcome, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Warlime. I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, consult Wikipedia:Questions, or place ((helpme)) on your talk page and ask your question there.

Again, welcome! Joseph2302 (talk) 12:13, 9 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ferratum Group[edit]

I noticed that all your edits have been to Ferratum Group. As a result, I was wondering if you work for, on behalf of the company- if you do, then you are strongly advised to read Wikipedia's conflict of interest policies, WP:COI. Joseph2302 (talk) 12:16, 9 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have read the policy thank you. Warlime (talk) 12:18, 9 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

So that's a yes you are affiliated to them? Please could you state your affiliation. Are you an employee of the company, or are you being paid specifically to create this article for them? If you were paid to create the article, I urge you to declare it, in accordance with our our Terms of Use, particularly those dealing with paid contributions without disclosure. Joseph2302 (talk) 12:27, 9 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I am affiliated with them, I guess I didn't read the policy well enough. Warlime (talk) 14:19, 9 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest, disclosure required[edit]

Information icon Hello, Warlime. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you have an external relationship with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Brianhe (talk) 16:59, 9 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Brianhe: This seems like an adequate disclosure, they're a company employee. Joseph2302 (talk) 17:11, 9 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I wanted to emphasize that it's an ongoing requirement to disclose every COI contribution. Declaring this on the article's talkpage with the ((Connected contributor)) template is the best way to do this. Or to simply not edit the article directly, but discuss suggested changes on the talkpage. — Brianhe (talk) 17:16, 9 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I already tagged the talkpage with the connected contributor template. But I agree, the best way is not to directly edit the article. Joseph2302 (talk) 17:20, 9 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
