Disambiguation link notification for October 12[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Mount Trashmore Park, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Interstate 264. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add ((NoACEMM)) to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:58, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Turning back time at Mount Trashmore Park[edit]

Hi TidewaterRoads, and a belated welcome to Wikipedia. I'm stopping by to clarify what went wrong at Mount Trashmore Park and what can be done going forward. I appreciate your interest in improving articles here. Unfortunately, we cannot host text here that violates the copyright of other entities (unless they license that material in a manner that allows us to re-use it). Hosting that material opens Wikipedia to legal liability, so we try to remove it as quickly as possible. Some of the material you added was nearly the same as the text in the cited The Virginian-Pilot articles. You can see (since you posted in October) that we're fairly backlogged in the copyright department, so I took the unfortunate liberty of rolling back all of your edits to that article instead of picking and choosing problematic bits to point out and fix. Back in October, you indicated an interest in fixing the article's problems and continuing to improve it. I hope that's still the case several months later. If so, you can find some guidance on this topic at Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing, and you're always welcome to ask questions at WP:TEAHOUSE where experienced editors will be happy to help. I hope you're staying well! Ajpolino (talk) 19:59, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
