The main purpose of my message system is to ensure that users who have a question which anyone, or any admin, can answer get routed to a noticeboard or help desk. Experienced users are unlikely to ask me questions that should go to another page.

If you object to an XFD closure of mine, please take it to deletion review. I waive any right to be consulted beforehand, and any guideline, instruction, etc. that suggests you should consult me. This is because I consider all my XFD closures carefully before coming to a decision.

The only exception to this is if there was information added to the discussion late on and you feel I should have extended the discussion in the light of that added information. In this case, leave me a message specifying the discussion.

I do not get involved in other people's disputes at their request. This is because they have historically turned out badly for me. Please ask someone else, e.g. the mediation cabal.

If you are a sysop, I trust you to unprotect anything I have protected (although if I mentioned an OTRS ticket, you may wish to check with me or an OTRS user before doing so). If not, please list it at WP:RFPU as that's faster than asking me.

For OTRS-related queries, leave me a message specifying the ticket number, page or image in question, and the email address the permission was sent from, or as much of this as you know. I have access to emails from permissions*@wikimedia.org and some, but not all, info-en*@wikimedia.org.
