Hello, Steelkamp
Thank you for creating Yanchep Secondary College.

Thank you for this new article. I recommend a new map for the infobox, as a map of half the while country is overkill when the article describes the school's location in the Perth area.

Let's hope there is something else that can be added, please note that WP:OR can be considered in relation to your comments about weather if you haven't given a WP:RS for your assertions - cheers... most of metropolitan perth has such similar climactic consistency, internal variations and reasons for mapping out - might need some further reliable sources to justify adding the tables... JarrahTree 10:50, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
I added those weather tables as I was working on expanding Climate of Perth. I have found some sources for Bickley here and here. Steelkamp (talk) 12:50, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
Please note that WP:OR is something you should be aware of by now, with no WP:RS - your additions are anecdotal and inadmissable - please make an effort. Thanks.JarrahTree 04:21, 1 August 2020 (UTC)
@JarrahTree: I got the information from historical imagery on [1]. Is this fine to use? If so, I can add the information back with the source cited. Steelkamp (talk) 05:55, 1 August 2020 (UTC)

the very tricky aspect of history is the complex intertwining of environmental concerns and the indigenous concerns about the effect on the sensitivity as to what the brook meant. If anyone tried doing a silly bugger on the items about that, it is a case of holdon I dont have the relevant refs to hand, and some is limited access and even 40 years later complicated. There are two major problems with lead sentences from the old days - perth, western australia -lalalh - redirects to perth - (the perth war was a war) - and generally most lead sentences of the early era overdo

Hi,
Thanks for uploading those Transperth C-series train images to Commons. They do a good job of showing the different elements. -- Whpq (talk) 15:31, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
I personally have a very strong dislike of the usage of the train rather than railway, probably my age and a few other inherent biases - however in the wa country lines I would strongly object to the usage.
If indeed there is not a drawn out and tedious conversation re the naming, the main thing is to approach the issue with making sure all perth metro items are consistent. Disused railway stations do not need to be changed, imho, however - the important thing is that all locations current and planned on the current network have the same naming. If you want/need some help on the issue, please ask. Also it begs questions in the short title and wikidata listings, but that is another conversation. JarrahTree 08:34, 16 June 2021 (UTC)

Hello:
The copy edit you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article Bayswater, Western Australia has been completed.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
A couple of points: In the lede I think 19th century makes more sense than 20th century?
Initial development in the 1880s-
"As there was no supervision of building standards, houses were constructed out of corrugated iron and weatherboard, built by the landowners themselves." If there were "building standards" this sentence is fine as is. If not, it should read "As there were no building standards ...".
After federation-
“One initiative they undertook was to resume a market garden in the suburb's town centre for a park.” Should "resume" not be "convert"? In which case, it would be convert ... to a park.
Demographics-
You'll have perhaps noticed I masked the two earliest years' prior census population figures as "overkill". Just erase the arrowed brackets if you don't agree.
Best of luck with the FA process when you get to it.
Regards,
Twofingered Typist (talk) 13:50, 9 August 2021 (UTC)

Good idea, and no doubt an interesting venture into the world of such lists... Issue is the lack of refs/cites against claims - a problem imho,
insufficient - specially if you havent said where the list's content comes from - smelly and very close to WP:OR JarrahTree 07:48, 6 September 2021 (UTC)
Even the items that preceded your efforts have the same problem (earlier street lists) - at least https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_streets_in_Bayswater,_Western_Australia has some refs... strongly suggest to keep the brontosoaurous editors of where's the RS - some care needs to be taken... your edit summary does say some things that have been generally accepted amongst communicating eds (some dont ever emerge to discuss, or have gone... one way or other) about the political allegiances on councils in wa - some do have known membership/alignment - whereas others are less open about the issue - some lord mayorship/membership careers have been part of pollies careers - (both before and after being members of parliament) - I personally wouldnt take it to the notice boards - the flies will make a mess of it - but nevertheless - some particular candidates/members - of places like freo and perth - have in the past been part of parties in one way or other - and that is in some ways - not a problem to mention if it has been openly displayed published. Inneresting as to what you elevate to 'high' - I have found that living inthis isolated and overly self important blob of conflagarations on the swan coastal plain, that many people and things are far too over-rated because there is so little really to compare with - take care with the 'high' regardless of what the rater thingo does - it should be like a sine curve (university undergraduate marking guideline) with a lot more in the middle, me thinks, why even people with money or power do not deserve to sit at the top...

Hi @Steelkamp:
You reverted an edit that I made on St Kilda Football Club in which I had archived the urls of cited webpages.
As you may know, web-based resources are liable to change or disappear without notice. Pro-active archiving is an important part of citing sources on Wikipedia, because it ensures that a permanent record of the website (dating from the approximate time of its citation) is kept. Clearly a website cannot be archived after it has been removed from the internet.
Please read the policy here on pro-active archiving: Wikipedia:Citing sources/Further considerations#Pre-emptive archiving. Since my edit was in line with this policy, I will revert your change.

The whole rail thing is a mess enough - is there really a need to call the centralised project discussion as 'informal'? I wonder where you get that from.
It is clear that there are a range of directions, and really it is beginning to smell of a set of cats, which is a pity, as there seemed to be the possibility that some agreement might have been reached, but subsequent edits show your impatience, again another unnecessary issue.
I fail to see where changing title names of articles is such an enthusiastic exercise, a simple addition of variant names on the wikidata entry, as well as in the article itself is sufficient. All you need if you are changing, I sure hope someone doesnt come in and choose to have issue with your reasoning. What you have created by changing to 'midland line - technically the whole category in which it exists, if there was cosnistency there are numerous small tweaks - otherwise there is also https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Midland_railway_line - but it doesnt take much to add see also or aka to help those who follow.
In the time when other editors actually listened to other editors, the issue of variant names was always well sorted out by the placement of AKA's in lead sentences and paragraphs to clarify the range of names possible. As I have said on the WTWA I am no longer interested, it is like possible ways of looking at things are ignored. Have fun with that lot. JarrahTree 11:44, 5 November 2021 (UTC)
Higham, G. J; Geoproject Solutions; Higham, Geoffrey (2004), Where WAS that? : an historical gazetteer of Western Australia (1st ed ed.), Geoproject Solutions Pty Ltd, ISBN 978-0-646-44186-3 ((citation))
: |edition=
has extra text (help) - it is possible to actually identify the various names that some stations have had over time (it was started as a list of railway locations) - I dont know where my copy is, otherwise I would do it...
The thing in wikidata is to make sure possible variations get in to the aka section - and the link to the current article name for the station is made - even if not found easily - it is worth assuming that x train station, and x railway station are valid alternative names - the very weird disambig x station, perth
may need to be included in some wikidata items as well - the trap of potentially duplicate wikidata entries needs to be double checked if there are older items
Then in commons proper linking requires quite a lot of juggling, I wouldnt even start to explain that lot Short descriptions also in some cases are requiring re-doing, it seems the rules are thwarted frequently - the simpler the best, with less qualifiers wherever possible. There needs to be a warning - unless you can offer WP:RS there is nothing to say 'common' and 'official' are the same for many of the stations JarrahTree 11:18, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
So https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q7796468 - the title/name of the q property is not the same as the article (as it currently stands) - so the name needs to be changed, and the variant pushed ot the aka section - with whenever somebody does it - the details from the Higham text and any extra info can also be inserted into the wikidata article - and when there exists a photo in commons - it can be inserted into an info box in data - what makes it look worth the effort...
but I wince when I see the image title -https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Transperth_Thornlie_Train_Station.jpg as it technically is another variant that could go into the aka list as well... But there are some who might say 'leave the commons' item alone, if you realise how much commons can be swamp and jungle - you could just put a big link to the new in the upper portion of the article JarrahTree 11:35, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
