If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding ((hangon))
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. andy (talk) 08:51, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
blogs are not considered reliable sources for the purposes of wikipedia. please find other sources such as articles from reliable newspapers (The Hindu for example) or noteworthy books.
Besides, there is a specific way to enter references to articles, for that you can refer to WP:CITET. pls drop me a message if you have any questions. --CarTick 15:22, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
could you pls clarify the copyright status of this image? --CarTick 01:56, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
I have deleted this image, as it was clearly taken from elsewhere. Not only is uploading images you have found elsewhere as your own completely contrary to Wikipedia's policies and foals, but it is potentially illegal. Please do not do it again. J Milburn (talk) 10:43, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

Hi. When you recently edited Kadayanallur, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Falls (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi there! Welcome to Wikipedia. I've reverted your move of the above page from Wikipedia:Articles for creation/Thiruvetriyur to Wikipedia:Thiruvetriyur for two reasons. Firstly, it is in the incorrect namespace, please read about our namespaces here, this should have been moved to the "Main" namespace. Secondly, the article has failed its review at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Thiruvetriyur, therefore please look at the advice given to you there. I've also protected the page so that you cannot move it again as I don't want to start at move war. You need to work on the article and get it approved on the talk page (at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Thiruvetriyur) before it can be moved into our main namespace. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me or anyone at our Help Desk, and we'll try to help as much as possible. The Helpful One 12:20, 15 April 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Krishna Kumarasingh Bhavasingh.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as ((non-free fair use)) or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 16:32, 16 November 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Krishna Kumarasingh Bhavasingh.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 20:57, 17 November 2013 (UTC)

Hi Books & Bytes recipients: The Wikipedia Library has been expanding rapidly and we need some help! We currently have 10 signups for free account access open and several more in the works... In order to help with those signups, distribute access codes, and manage accounts we'll need 2-3 more Account Coordinators.
It takes about an hour to get up and running and then only takes a couple hours per week, flexible depending upon your schedule and routine. If you're interested in helping out, please drop a note in the next week at my talk page or shoot me an email at: jorlowitzgmail.com. Hello Books & Bytes subscribers. There is a new Visual Editor reference feature in development called Citoid. It is designed to "auto-fill" references using a URL or DOI. We would really appreciate you testing whether TWL partners' references work in Citoid. Sharing your results will help the developers fix bugs and improve the system. If you have a few minutes, please visit the testing page for simple instructions on how to try this new tool. Regards, MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:48, 10 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
