Speedy deletion nomination of Bb cream[edit]

A tag has been placed on Bb cream, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding ((hangon)) to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Welcome! Wikipedia is more than just red signs, I swear![edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia and your talk page! I'm terribly sorry about that mess of red signs above here. Part of the Wikipedia philosophy is that for many article maintenance concerns, any user who feels confident in a particular set of policies and guidelines has the ability to make edits. You happened to accidentally run into two bits of bad luck when you come to publish your BB cream article: 1) Wikipedia has a variety of standards about the quality of all edits and new articles created that it would be nearly impossible to have learned very many so quickly, and 2) some editors draw a firmer line about what is needed to mark for deletion. There's no automatic right or wrong answer, but seeing that you had just joined Wikipedia I wanted to make sure you could get a fair chance at making your first article. This is why I removed the deletion tag, and I'm still very sorry for all the confusing text everywhere about it. I saw you went to a discussion in the neutrality forums for help, which is fantastic! As for those speedy deletion warnings on this page? You're free to delete the text to clean up the page.

Now, I will warn you that I'm a bit of a double-edged sword for information. I lack the ability to push new things forward in the encyclopedia by making much of new articles, but I'm awesome at hiding in the background where I can hop in quickly whenever I think there is trouble. That at least means I can point you in the right direction, and I could make the argument that researching more of it on your own is probably useful for the future. First things first; My suggestion would be to read a special article about your first article and be sure to read the whole page (boring, I know, but important). Having these things in mind, start your edits to help in that Gathering references section and you can apply everything you learn there straight to your article! Since it was mentioned before that there may be neutrality issues with your article, this should get you up to speed there, as well. The likely reason that was tagged onto the article is because it read like an advertisement in many ways, which we certainly can't have in an encyclopedia!

There are always people around somewhere to help if you need! There's a link ← off on the left side of the screen and ↑ up there in your welcome message about where to look or a special tag you can place into this page to get someone routed to you. Though I can't promise I'll be able to do more than those seasoned friendly editors, please feel free to leave me a message on my talk page (→ shown just over here). daTheisen(talk) 06:46, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
