Hey Static, it's Shallowharold here. I went on the page of the DMX album and noticed the production credits were very wrong. So I went to correct them by way of the liner notes inside the CD. I added in who were the song's actual producers and assigned co-production and additional production credits accordingly. I hope this isn't an issue- I just noticed that there were a few producers and samples listed that were incorrect. Shallowharold (talk) 03:12, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
I'm not surprised at all, Static. I've seen them add things to articles even after they have been provided references and citations from reliable sources. Case in point: I once went back and forth with a person editing Toni Braxton & Babyface's album Love, Marriage & Divorce. They put in songwriting credits from someone that clearly wasn't listed in the credits. I pointed out to them to look at the sources and citations I provided and they STILL made the edit listing the name of the person that wasn't listed in the credits, SMH. A quick update as we are half way through round two of this year's competition. WikiCup newcomer Godot13 (submissions) (Pool E) leads, having produced a massive set of featured pictures for Silver certificate (United States), an article also brought to featured list status. Former finalist
Adam Cuerden (submissions) (Pool G) is in second, which he owes mostly to his work with historical images, including a number of images from Urania's Mirror, an article also brought to good status. 2010 champion (Pool C) is third overall, thanks to contributions relating to naval history, including the newly featured Japanese battleship Nagato.
Cliftonian (submissions), who currently leads Pool A and is sixth overall, takes the title for the highest scoring individual article of the competition so far, with the top importance featured article Ian Smith.
With 26 people having already scored over 100 points, it is likely that well over 100 points will be needed to secure a place in round 3. Recent years have required 123 (2013), 65 (2012), 41 (2011) and 100 (2010). Remember that only 64 will progress to round 3 at the end of April. Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page; if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points equally. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. If you want to help out with the WikiCup, please do your bit to help keep down the review backlogs! Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! I added the review for New Transcendence to the Chiodos "Devil" page and you removed it, claiming it wasn't a professional site. I had received the album from the label and wrote the review, so I figured it should be here. I just want to know the reason why we're not considered a professional site. I asked User:Andrzejbanas for help to improving genre and composition section but he can't do it, and User:Calvin999 won't allow me to edit. Entertainment Weekly says "Europop dance cut".[1] There's Pitchfork says "an electro take on "Funkytown"-style riffing on the verses, Euro-pop catharsis everywhere else-- moves "Only Girl" into classic disco territory, which is a nice relief from modern dance pop's congested take on four-to-the-floor thump." Hi. I've reverted your edits to Mac & Devin Go to High School. As the template itself says, "Do not restore or edit the blanked content on this page until the issue is resolved by an administrator, copyright clerk or OTRS agent." You are welcome to rewrite the content if you feel it appropriate in the temporary space linked from the template itself. If you feel the content is not a copyright issue, you can also explain that at the copyright problems board listing (linked from the template as well). But the template is not to be removed or the content restored pending closure of that listing. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 02:25, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

The article Sharaf Qaisar which, I agree, was a re-post. But the deficiencies it consist previously, which indeed were discussed in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sharaf Qaisar too, were completely removed. These made the article in accordance with proposed guidelines of Wikipedia. Article doesn't had, even an indication, of promotion or advertisement. Still, wiki administration deleted it. I condemn! STATic,
I've been trying to improve the Eminem article so it can become FA, and thought maybe you'd be able to help given your work on his article, albums, songs, and such. Should it go through a peer review first? I saw this once was nominated for FA but wasn't promoted, then got a peer review followed by a successful GAN. Thought we'd get this up to an even higher standing. Perhaps..... it could be the "Today's featured article" for his 42nd birthday this upcoming October 17th if promoted in time?

I am a good friend of 100s and received a text from him earlier today explaining his dissatisfaction with some of the things included. Not that anything offended him personally, or that I'm trying to insert some of his own wishes into this article, I was simply going in and trying to change/update some of the things I observed. If you would be interested in collaborating to make this process go quickly I would be more than happy to talk with you on ventrilo/skype or whatever! Again, my apologies for being a noob. Essentially, there are a few things that are incorrect or mis-interpreted, whether he initially said them in his interviews or not. Everything about Africa is fine, though there's a section I'd like you to add at the end and correct a few things in the process. The section is as follows: After his attempt at escape, he was sent to the small town of Bouaflé where he lived with his uncle. Not long after, him and his uncle's family moved to Yamoussoukro, and he soon returned to the United States in late 2010. (Also, he had malaria more than 5 times, so best to say he contracted it a number of times)
You also put his parents in a very bad light, and much of the negative criticism towards them is not needed. I don't personally feel comfortable explaining the entire story to somebody he doesn't know as it is still a touchy subject to this day, though I'll touch on it for you to provide some context. To summarize candidly, there was an ongoing exterior event occurring within his family and his parents felt it best to remove their son from the setting at the time in Berkeley. In other words, their decision to send him to Africa was not a result of his poor behavior, or a result of anything he did. Therefore, his parents decision to send him away was a very hard one, and yes he felt a lot of anger towards them at the time, but in my opinion (and I know 100s shares this opinion with me as well) their decision was justified considering all of the circumstances. HE LOVES HIS PARENTS and feels he would never purposely criticize their decision. (That last statement comes directly from him).
Also, If there's any way you could change to picture to anything other than an action shot of him, perhaps more updated, that would be great as well. Thanks for your reading and hopeful consideration!

I'm not the one that added it, it was only brought to my attention from a recent edit. But on to the matter at hand, why is it not standardized, then? I don't see a country in the infoboxes for John Cena, Randy Orton, Big Show, Dolph Ziggler - I can go on and on. Obviously it was not my intention to edit war because, as I said, this is not standardized and I imagined my revert of your revert would've explained that. I believe the idea is that U.S. cities and states are at first glance obvious to the reader that they are from the United States. Until this is on every single U.S.-based wrestler's infobox, I don't believe it should be relegated to just one which, in this case, is Daniel Bryan. Antoshi ☏ ★ 19:52, 9 April 2014 (UTC)

Led Zeppelin and The Doors' Wikis count their one off Hall of Fame performances in the 'Reunion' category. Nirvana also performed a full length show in addition to the Hall of Fame set. I put it in 'Reunion' though because it was a short term thing, the timeline won't change to '2014-Present' with Kurt Cobain listed as a past member unless they tour.

The rap battles took place in a basement called *The Shelter*, do you understand that? St.Andrews is a big venue, in the basement is a SEPARATE venue called The Shelter. Google St.Andrews Detroit, go to the faq section, there you go!
There are so so many interviews where the guys have discussed this, I can narrow it down to 10 if that would help you including the film 8 Mile and Marshall Mathers -2- autobiographies. THE SHELTER IS IN THE BASEMENT OF ST.ANDRWS IT IS A SEPARATE VENUE.
An aside, I am trying to enlighten you here, these kids from Detroit weren't headlining shows at a huge venue, they were in the basement earning their stripes during the day.

Hey, i noticed that you left me a message, i just wanted to discuss about it, even though what you did was because of good intentions, i still have to disagree with the genre of the album i edited, so i will tell you why i edited the genre to be the way it is. 1)Alternative rock - the instrumentation of the ablum has a lot of Alternative rock influences, which is why i cited it as a genre. 2)Post hardcore - they always played in the punk style of, they use screams and post hardcore has uncleans, that is why i edited it in. 3)Emo - it has a lot of softer songs with melodic choruses and instrumentation, not to mention the emotion there and the screaming 4)Nu metal - i labeled it Nu metal, firstly because of the use of programming in the album, it is in the style of Nu metal, secondly, there are some heavier songs there and the way they play them and the programming over there has a lot of Nu metal influences, now Nu metal was always known for the emotional and agressive sound(like on the album) and the use of scratching, programming, sampling, etc. etc. This is why i changed the genre from "rock" to those 4 and rock is a completely different genre itself, the lyrics, instrumentation and everything is just different, so if you'd label the genre as "Rock" people would think that they made a record similar to: The Beatles, or The Rolling Stones. I hope that i cleared all of this up, this is just why i did it and i think that a lot of people would agree with me there.(MTG980 (talk) 19:26, 19 April 2014 (UTC))

Hey, I'm sorry if my last edit appeared to confuse you on that page (that IP edit was mine). I can't really source very well (I don't know what does and what does not belong) and This Means War plays regularly on my local Rock radio FM station AND SXM Octane. I do not have a date for it, but through the Deathbat site I did see that they were recording a music video for the song, which usually, but does not always, suggest a single release. I was thinking maybe we could keep that there until we got evidence that proved otherwise. Is this possible? Is this even a good source?
I'm just saying that there seems to be plenty of radio evidence that this will lead to be single. Thank you.

Bullet for My Valentine has a thrash metal album & thrash metal elements in their music, so I don't understand how u can think they don't do thrash metal. And because of that, people can't know about the thrash metal in their music. I know thrash metal when I hear it. And Five Finger Death Punch is also alternative metal & hard rock, it's says so on their albums & songs, so I don't see y the band's article itself can't say they do alternative metal & hard rock. Same goes for Bullet for My Valentine w/ thrash metal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ravenkills97 (talk • contribs) 15:45, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
Round 3 of the 2014 WikiCup has just begun; 32 competitors remain. Pool G's Adam Cuerden (submissions) was Round 2's highest scorer, with a large number of featured picture credits. In March/April, he restored star charts from Urania's Mirror, lithographs of various warships (such as SMS Gefion) and assorted other historical media. Second overall was Pool E's
Godot13 (submissions), whose featured list Silver certificate (United States) contains dozens of scans of banknotes recently promoted to featured picture status. Third was Pool G's
ChrisGualtieri (submissions) who has produced a large number of good articles, many, including Falkner Island, on Connecticut-related topics. Other successful participants included
Cliftonian (submissions), who saw three articles (including the top-importance Ian Smith) through featured article candidacies, and
Caponer (submissions), who saw three lists (including the beautifully-illustrated list of plantations in West Virginia) through featured list candidacies. High-importance good articles promoted this round include narwhal from
Reid,iain james (submissions), tiger from
Cwmhiraeth (submissions) and The Lion King from
Igordebraga (submissions). We also saw our first featured topic points of the competition, awarded to
Czar (submissions) and
Red Phoenix (submissions) for their work on the Sega Genesis topic. No points have been claimed so far for good topics or featured portals.
192 was our lowest qualifying score, again showing that this WikiCup is the most competitive ever. In previous years, 123 (2013), 65 (2012), 41 (2011) or 100 (2010) secured a place in Round 3. Pool H was the strongest performer, with all but one of its members advancing, while only the two highest scorers in Pools G and F advanced. At the end of June, 16 users will advance into the semi-finals. Good luck! Hi! I made some edits regarding of albums on the Eminem discography page. The edits were all cited. For example the mmlp2 sales were updated as the present edit shows sales upto march according to Hiphopdx.com i also updated it using the same website. All i did was update it to the list published by the site on 27th april. So i consider it is reliable. The sales of MMLP and The Eminem Show were edited according to sales provided by mediatraffic.com. I guess its reliable too. I cited it too and if you want you can check it the sites decade end chart. The quote that i changed on the Space bound section was from the reference already provided in the article. So even that is not wrong. I would like that you update the above info as or allow me to do so cause the numbers I provide are not wrong or if you feel that there is a mistake on my behalf you can help me to get rid of the confusion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Abhinav0908 (talk • contribs) 13:18, 5 May 2014 (UTC) Abhinav0908 (talk)

Your reverting of my revisions to record label articles were incorrect. Frontline labels - such as Atlantic, Columbia, etc. - manage their own distribution affairs, before sending that info. off to the physical distribution leg of their parent company. Note that the article of Atlantic Records sister label Warner Bros. Records lists that it is 'self-distributed,' note that the article of Columbia Records sister label Epic Records lists that it is 'self-distributed.' The way these articles are set up, thanks to your reverting my revisions, are inconsistent when they should be uniform. The Real One Returns (talk) 01:05, 9 May 2014 (UTC)

Hi - I blocked the IP 187.109.224.34 due to a request on WP:AIV by TheEpTic. The IP made a very large number of small edits, fairly rapidly, across multiple music related articles. Most of them seemed to have no impact, but in at least one I found that artists names that were correct were removed. I can't really judge the edits, but based on that one, based on that 187.109.224.33 had been blocked for vandalism with very similar edits, and based on the report at AIV, I rangeblocked all the 187.109.224.xxx IPs and reverted all of 34's changes. I did not touch the changes of 33 that are still live. I later noticed at least one edit was correct, and it looks like you found another. Should I undo this block and the other reverts? Input from you and TheEpTic would be excellent. Prodego talk 20:06, 11 May 2014 (UTC)

Hello,
you reverted my edits. I have provided reputable sources.
http://www.rap.de/news/40-news/17481-fler-gratuliert-kollegah-zum-gold-rekord
rap.de is the biggest hip hop related online platform in Germany and the author Oliver Marquardt is the chief editor.
http://www.musikmarkt.de/Aktuell/News/Spotify-Kollegah-erzielt-Streaming-Rekord
Musikmarkt is the biggest journal of the music industry in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Regarding the importance of Kollegah's achievement I think it is fair enough to mention it in the section and include his picture instead pictures of rappers who haven't achieved similar success. Ich901 (talk) 14:19, 14 May 2014 (UTC)

Hello there. How do you do?
I've seen that you are one of the Eminem's wikibiography editor, and i also seen that you are insist to put Eminem's sales with 96 million albums and over 120 million singles worldwide, by using this source (http://www.xxlmag.com/xxl-magazine/2014/05/dr-dre-eminem-and-jimmy-iovine-three-kings-originally-published-april-may-2014/) while actually, the article inside stated "rap titan Eminem, who’s been signed to Dre’s label since 1998 and has sold 96 million records as an Aftermath/Interscope artist." Not 96 million albums and over 120 million singles worldwide like you stated on eminem's wikibio.
Please be consider that Wikipedia should be fill up with a reliable source. Please look up this page (best-selling music artists), eminem's certification sales has been reach nearly 99m and while his "real and not inflated sales claim" still around 100m.
The source from this (http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/features/why-eminem-is-a-greater-artist-than-lady-gaga-will-ever-be/story-e6frg8h6-1226836137106) could be use for while to state eminem's records sales at 115 million, because that number is much more and much better reliable than another eminem's 200m or more claim sales which is so INFLATED.
thanks. Politsi (talk) 03:40, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
why did you revert this edit? [13]. On the talk page, the consensus doesn't end yet You are imposing an edit without consensus by user Status [14], (the edit summary "lol", isn't a reason). There already was discussion on the talk page about it. Someone else had previously removed it but understood it's importance. I see he's a regular in here always complaining about other people, but I'm her to complain about him. He's constantly changing all Lady Gaga pages to his own interest, with biased language and subjective adjectives. I changed "the single was unsuccessful" to "not as successful as her previous singles". Because, who decides what's a flop? Him? It has charted in more than 10 countries reaching top 10 in some of them. Obviously not a hit, but not "unsuccessful". And if this remains, I will go to other artists' pages to put the same thing in all singles with worse chart peaks. He's not the king of the page to put his personal opinion on everything. Hey Static, it's Shallowharold again. I have a slight problem with vandalism on the page to Dr. Dre's album 2001 and his single "The Watcher". There are a few people on there editing the page that want to list Nas as a co-writer of "The Watcher" and are doing so because of the website RapGenius. Aside from the fact that RapGenius isn't exactly a reliable source, virtually NONE of the publishing companies have verified this claim. Every source on my end lists Dr. Dre and Eminem as the sole writers of "The Watcher".
I was wondering if something can be done about it- it's something that you should look into. Thanks. Shallowharold (talk) 15:48, 5 June 2014 (UTC)

Hello STATicVapor!
As you've probably noticed, I have been doing a lot of work lately updating (or at least temporarily updating) Hypnotize Minds, Three 6 Mafia & several related pages. I am a dedicated fan with a wide range of knowledge in this area of music. I have continuously been researching, editing & updating these pages along with related ones like Frayser Boy, Crunchy Black, Juicy J, DJ Paul, Project Pat, La Chat, etc. However, despite adding citations & changing the data to be as accurate & current as possible, you keep reverting ALL OF MY CHANGES to old versions of the pages. For example, you keep insisting Three 6 Mafia is an active music group. THEY ARE NOT RIGHT NOW & have not made an album since 2008 or even a single track since 2010. When Juicy J announced he was signing with Taylor Gang to pursue a solo career, it was also announced that all Three 6 Mafia projects were being put on hold indefinitely. Another thing is the "associated acts" section which continues to be poorly edited (for example Lil Jon has never been associated with Three 6 Mafia save for one song, "Act a Fool").
As for Hypnotize Minds, you keep deleting most of my changes as well. The only changes you seem to have accepted are my additions of Frayser Boy & La Chat to "previous artists". There have been more than the 12 current & former artists you insist on & keep listed. There have in fact been several dozen, as I have previously edited the page to include. I understand you wanting to take out sentences appear like they are "hearsay" & not cited, but I don't understand you continuously reverting the entire pages. If you believe that you have more knowledge about Hypnotize Minds & Three 6 Mafia than me, prove where I am wrong. I'm sorry if this is coming off as at all rude & I know you have a lot of experience as a wikipedia admin, but I feel you should research the changes before just reverting the whole pages. I'm just getting frustrated having my changes continuously reverted by YOU alone when other users have commended most of my updates.
A separate issue is the images I have uploaded to be profile images of individuals who previously had no image to identify themselves by on their personal wikipedia pages. I have uploaded the following images recently, but after several days of being the functioning & accepted image of the respective pages, I have gotten notices that they are not technically "free" images & cannot be used? I just don't understand this part & if you could give me an explanation so I can effectively continue to improve Wikipedia, it would be greatly appreciated.

I believe your removal of the WikiProject Record Labels from Meek Mill was incorrect for the following reasons. First, the main subject point of an article does not have to be relevant to a WikiProject in order to merit inclusion. For instance, If a person was born in Georgia, often WikiProject United States: Georgia is added to the person's talk page, even though the main subject certainly isn't Georgia. If an entertainer served during one of the World Wars, usually WikiProject Military History is added, even though their military service might only have a paragraph, or less. In this case, a record label is indeed discussed, and it is not beyond the realm of possibility that this portion of the article be expanded, or even eventually separated out into its own article. As such Record Labels is indeed and appropriate WikiProject. Second, Record Labels is not only for the labels themselves, but for record company executives and those who have direct influence on the operations of a record label. As the founder of a record label, Meek Mill should indeed have the Record Labels WikiProject added. Please reconsider. Most cordially, 78.26 (His Wiki's Voice) 11:48, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
Hi! Thanks for pointing out in your edit comment that, when you reverted my edit on the Eazy-E page, it wasn't my edit you were aiming at, but another editor's unsourced paragraph that had been added before and that you wanted to remove. Fair enough.
I'd argue, however, that it's better not to use revert on unwanted edits if doing so means taking additional, later edits down as well, as a kind of "collateral damage". Why not just remove the offending content manually, instead of making the good faith editor whose changes were caught in the middle redo his edits?

Sorry for interrupt, User:RazorEyeEdits defended it for its genre and wrote "We can still generalise though. Maroon 5 are a pop rock band; it would make sense for them to make pop rock music. Variations will come when the album releases." Then he/she added pop rock as genre.

I noticed your change of my release date change. The "first" date shouldn't be used because it causes confusion with all official information mentioned about the release of the new album. Linkin Park's official web site, Facebook page and YouTube channel as well as the Warner Bros Records website(the recording studio that is releasing the album) all say June 17th, 2014. That date should be used so that the page does not conflict with all official information. --Jimv1983 (talk) 20:22, 16 June 2014 (UTC)

I certainly don't understand the insistence on putting Ed Sheeran's album on the page, when we leave off most major R&B albums. And i'm not extremely familiar with his music but i don't think i've ever heard anyone call him a rapper our an R&B artist. Amazon puts the album under the pop category and AllMusic calls it Pop/Rock. Oh, and also the "he raps more then Pharrell" quote was the most hilarious thing i read all week. And Mike Will has produced tracks for their own mixtapes/albums. Also you removed the addition of CP Junior as one of the artists who responded to Kendrick Lamar's control song. Well here's proof http://youtu_.be/jVH-qVDS4V_s (no _) A rapper named CP Junior did do a response to Kendrick Lamar's Control. Please do not change my edits now.

Thanks for straightening out the changes to this article. The edits by two different IP users apparently confused me. Your edit confirms I was on the right track when I reverted the second user's edits. But looking it over again, I thought that the second user had corrected the first user's edits. So I undid my edit. Instead, both users' edits needed to be reverted to get to the last clean version. I believe I am usually alert to the possibility of two different users vandalizing or at least making erroneous edits to an article. If I had followed through correctly, I would have seen this was that type of situation. This time I allowed myself to be thrown off the track - because the format problem disappeared with the second edit. I suppose the differing number of bytes should have been enough of a clue if proofreading did not disclose the problem to me. Again, thanks for correcting this. Hey bud,
I just finished reviewing Recovery, and will say its article is currently an absolute disaster which led to its 3rd unsuccessful GAN. Easily the longest review I've ever written so far (see Talk:Recovery (Eminem album)/GA3 for details). You told me back in May when I failed the GAN for MMLP2 that it was "1000% better" than Shady's other FGAN albums. I took some time to look them over, and you definitely weren't kidding. Even though the GAN for MMLP2 was premature, its article was unquestionably worlds ahead of the ones for Recovery and Encore when I reviewed it and still is today. Encore and The Eminem Show have multiple completely uncited sections (major red flag). I promise you we will get his album articles up to GA (if not FA) at some point, but it'll take some considerable work. I'll see what I can do on my own, hit me up if you need a reviewer.

Could you please stop making uncited changes to the Trap music page, without backing up your reasons for doing do. The changes to the stylistic origins section have been agreed by numerous posters. You have repeatedly vandalised the Trap music page with uncited edits and when I have tried to have a discussion with you about it, which you have merely defined as trolling. Anymore uncited edits and I will request that the page is locked. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.178.88.81 (talk) 06:54, 7 July 2014 (UTC)
I am actually happy with the page as it stands. So I will not be making any edits, it is you who dislikes the references to Dubstep and Grime as the origins of the new EDM Trap sound. I havent been hopping around IPs and I have provided clear references showing the influence of the two aforementioned genres on early EDM Trap. There is consensus for these changes, as numerous other posters have accepted EDM Trap is a stylistic offshoot of UK Bass genres. The only outstanding point of contention is whether cultural origins are the US and UK. You will notice I cited a source which references the UK Trap scene, but I am waiting for others to see and agree to it, before I make any additional changes.
I have not launched any personal attacks, but I have tried to reach out to you and show you links between EDM Trap and its British Forbears Grime and Dubstep. I actually am a big Hip Hop fan from back in the day (Africa Bambaataa till now), but I would like to show the musical contribution of the tiny British largely black community to what is generally refered to as EDM Trap. If you were from Frisco and everyone claimed 'Hyphy' calling it another name, wouldnt you wish to show what its true origins were?
Have a listen to these tracks
Even if you choose to ignore the sources I have provided, can you honestly say that these tunes are not a stylistic influence on both Drill and EDM trap genres?
Hello, I have observed the edit wars between 129.178.88.81 and yourself. The only individual who seems to dispute the changes is you.
User 129.178.88.81 did provide a source showing the links between dubstep and trap (see below)
The LA weekly also noted the links between the newer electronic form of Trap and its UK Bass progenitor Dubstep http://blogs.laweekly.com/westcoastsound/2012/10/trap_music_edm_uz_baauer_ugk.php?page=2 stating re Trap "You could basically call it the next phase of dubstep. It plays at a club-ready 140 bpm while retaining dubstep's craze-inducing drops. (That said, eschewing the over-hyped and much-disparaged name "dubstep" is definitely a good PR move.)"
user 129.178.88.81 also provides a source showing the links between crunk (southern hip hop) and UK Grime with the following source
And finally similiarities between the intense sound of Crunk and Grime have been noted before with Lil Jon in 2004 a well known Crunk artist stating in the BBC with regards to Grime Artist Dizze Rascal "“I like Dizzee,” Lil Jon said recently, joining the Dylan Mills fan club, which also includes Andre 3000. “Even if I don’t know what the f**k he be saying.”" and even as far back as 2004 from when this article is dated American media outlets were noted for paying attention to this UK Bass Genre noting "Having all but ignored UK urban music for years, even American artists and magazines like XXL are opening their ears to the cockney accents spitting their stories over chaotic keys and speaker-smashing bass" http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/collective/A3299204
Even prompting another user to remark
After reading these sources about grime/crunk artists collabing before the EDM trap boom I'd be for keeping grime as a stylistic origin. – filelakeshoe (t / c) 11:38, 3 July 2014 (UTC)
It very much looks like you have been able to set the agenda as an established user, above all other users with regards to the trap music page. I dont want to get involved, but I think you should revaluate your position and revert your recent change and wait until other users to show their concerns with the stylistic origins section of the trap music wikipedia page.
I for one dont think user 129.178.88.81 changes can be viewed as original research as he has a good source and other users back the changes made.
Also I for one think some of the links provided above sound very much like EDM trap songs in rotation today. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.174.219.170 (talk) 19:34, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
Hello StaticVapor,
Nograviti here, I also have been watching the whole Trap origins debate. Could you please return to the Trap Talk page and give proper reasons as to why the references to at least 'Dubstep' should be removed from the Trap Stylistic origins section. I think the sources provided by user 129.178.88.81 are good enough see WP:CITE and cannot be written off as original research WP:OR. While I don't share his belief that Grime is stylistic origin, I certainly think the evidence is clear enough that 'Dubstep' has been a significant influence on the modern trap sound.
If a response isn't forthcoming, then either you or I can raise a third party dispute and see if the issue can be resolved that way. I am actually British unlike the individual/s posting from Sweden based on their IP addresses and I think part of edits made by user 129.178.88.81 are valid. I will also suggest to user 129.178.88.81 that he creates a proper account. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nograviti (talk • contribs) 10:31, 11 July 2014 (UTC)

@STATicVapor: Could you return to the Trap Talk page as I can see that you have been posting and updating on Wikipedia over the last few days. From what I have seen, the issue of Dubstep and Grime as stylistic origins should be discussed until a consensus or compromise can be drawn. I think the others are clear on Dubstep as a direct origin, but are less happy with Grime. You are the only individual who objects to either, so it needs to be discussed on the talk page.
After a false report by Hip Hop XD (I believe), alot of people started posting his death as Jamal Dewar however, it's a huge debate whether his name is Jamal or Courtney, but as no obituaries exist for a "Jamal Dewar" and Courtney Dewar is the only person from the New York area that I can find. There's several pictures on the internet talking about him with a gravestone labeled, "Courtney Dewar". Even if his name is Jamal, shouldn't we put a note somewhere that it's disputed amongst reports whether his name is Courtney or Jamal. RyanTheBackpacker (talk) 17:30, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
Hello, dear STATic. Don't you think that Hugh McDonald is more of a unofficial member of Bon Jovi than merely a substitute? And thus he deserves to be lined as such?

Wikipedia:WikiProject_Musicians/Article_guidelines#Discography_section doesn't say anything about not separating collaborations from solo releases. And Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style_(lists_of_works)#Discographies states: The exact format chosen will depend on the discography and the amount of verifiable information available, which may vary greatly between musical acts. In all cases, the format should follow from what's best for the article, and not vice versa. And of the two GAs you pointed to, Eminem just omits his D12 collaborations altogether, just as the Wu-Tang members' articles omit the group releases. Does that mean the group/collaboration projects should be omitted? Not necessarily.
Some variations in the GAs (just browsing A-E): Nadia Ali, Anggun, Rodney Atkins, Australian Crawl, Emilie Autumn, Big Bang, Clint Black, Billy Talent, Brooks & Dunn, Eva Cassidy, Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Death Cab for Cutie, Bruce Dickinson, Joe Diffie, Doro, Eazy-E, Evermore - all of these are artists with dedicated discography articles that separate the releases in the main article by category. Note that many of these also include EPs, compilations, live albums, singles, etc, while many other articles, like Eminem, Beyonce or indeed all of the individual Wu-Tang members exclude major collaborative studio albums. There are obviously no hard and fast rules to follow here. In fact, browse through those articles and you'll find infinite and seemingly arbitrary variations in the formatting of the discogs. So it's not a question of the iron application of policy, it's a question of what's appropriate for this particular artrist's article.
I would propose something like this for Method Man, Ghostface, Raekwon, etc.
Method Man
Other collaborations
It makes sense to separate solo albums from collaborations (because this article is about the solo artist), and it makes sense to isolate longstanding group projects with multiple releases from one-off collaborations. It makes the discography, and the overall shape of his career, far clearer, which is the point.

Hi. I happened to remove the "Singles" content on Tinashe's page because those songs don't represent her actual single she put out for Radio. The only single she has released was "Vulnerable" (which was a buzz single) and "2 On" being her first commercial single sent to radio by her label RCA Records.

The Independent, Time Out and The Big Issue are all reliable, published sources – they are not small, unknown publications with low readerships; and definitely not WP:OR. Negative reviews by such publications which Metacritic hasn't taken into consideration shouldn't be ignored. If those negative reviews were from personal blogs etc then you would have a point about WP:OR, but that's not the case. I hope you can see the point I'm making. 87.81.143.227 (talk) 01:05, 15 July 2014 (UTC)
Hi. Thank you for reverting my edits on the song "Thank You" by Busta Rhymes, but here's my explanation of why you reverted my edits: on the single cover of the song, it said "FEAT. KANYE WEST, LIL WAYNE & Q-TIP", not "FEAT. Q-TIP, LIL WAYNE & KANYE WEST". And also, E.L.E. 2 is still an upcoming album, so it has not been released yet. The track listing should have been okay when I put it there, and the part "(2014)" that you put back on the article is really unnecessary. It should also say that it "features additional vocals from fellow rappers Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Q-Tip" and also "released as a single on November 7, 2013, from his upcoming tenth studio album E.L.E.2 (Extinction Level Event 2)." The track listing for the digital download format should have also been alright with you since you put it out. Skylar3214 11:04, 14 July 2014

Hello Static,
I noticed you added the Speedy deletion tab to the Yung Stet artist page. I totally respect your opinion but I was wondering more in detail of why Yung Stet page was decided to be placed as unimportant artist? I noticed it was also reviewed by one of the Master editors also whom didn't place it for deletion. Its tagged with some great artist background information that shows importance for this artist/songwriter to be added. He has received major awareness from well known major brands and artists. His social media accounts including twitter are verified also. I was just curious because I reviewed other artists pages that didn't have as much background info as this page. Once again I am just curious of your decision. (Topdog2014 (talk) 19:23, 15 July 2014 (UTC))

You claim that there was not a credible source attached to my link. That link showed a Vimeo video that is a preview that shows that John Cena will be wrestling Brock Lesnar for the title at Summerslam. The final frame of the video shows that the commercial is from MTS, which is a Canadian PPV provider. The Vimeo video looks professionally made and has recent footage of Wrestlemania and Cena winning the title for a 15th time.

Hi, thanks for posting on my talk page. The reason I changed it to negative reception is because the film only received 26% on Rotten Tomatoes and most of the reviews are pretty negative of the film. I doesn't make sense to have it as mixed since the reviews are generally negative.XKid3202 (talk) 03:09, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
No. What you are saying is also just original research of the reception. Just because one site states the it received generally mixed reviews doesn't make it so. Metacritic only takes a limited number of reviews and if you look at the majority of reviews for the film you will see that the majority of them are negative.XKid3202 (talk) 03:35, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
Hey, just a quick question. You reverted my edit to the article based on a good faith assumption. I didn't do it in good faith and did my research instead. Although there are no definitive sources on the web, there are sources in the world. :-) The best source I could provide was the interview I posted, also there are some tracks on youtube, one of them featuring Bomshot & Holocaust, Ghostface Killah and Straight. Also, a member of the German chapter is a co-worker of mine. (He asked me whether I could do the edit.) Before doing so, I made him show me the contract, which in fact exists and seems legit.
Of course, you are way more important to this project than me and more experienced with all this, too. So I can only ask, whether you want to look into the this yourself. Lukejordan02 (talk) 20:27, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
I've launched a discussion at the talk page, which you should have been notified of, but I wanted to say a few more things here on your talk page aside from that discussion. While I think it was perfectly fine to revert my changes per WP:BRD, I would be very careful with leaving edit summaries like the one you left, which imply that discussion is a necessity for any change, no matter how seemingly uncontroversial. I'm not completely sure if that's what you meant, but the implication seems to go against WP:BOLD. I personally wasn't offended, but you might scare off other editors who may be newer or less familiar with Wikipedia and just want to make contributions with such edit summaries.
Also, other changes were made to the infobox outside of the mere change of type, such as a new image that showed the subject more clearly and the removal of an excessive laundry list of "associated acts" that mostly have no significance to the artist's career, and it would have been helpful if you explained why these were changed, in your edit summary or elsewhere. No hard feelings, just wanted to let you know. Cheers, –Chase (talk / contribs) 02:32, 20 July 2014 (UTC)

Hi there, I know you are often busy but on a certain article I need you expertise. Several Wikipedians have been editing in against template guidelines and have been formatting against them, and while I have been following these templates and guidelines I just keep getting my work reverted simply because they disagree, they don't reference any reason why they just disagree and while I would have back up on any other page this particular page is watched by what appears to be many fans and want it in a particular way that is not in accordance to Wikipedia and I may have snapped one or two times just trying to justify my edits so I am coming to you for some help, even if somehow my edits are wrong it would be great to hear from you since you're a professional so your opinion is of great value. Update Unfortunately the dispute rages on. I am deeply sorry for asking a second time, this will be my last, but he is now trying to get me blocked for my attempts to improve the article based on the discussions on the talk page. I no longer can edit the page without him reverting and I do not want to be blocked from editing other articles as well so I'm stuck, all I can do is attempt to discuss fairly with him but it doesn't seem all that possible since he hasn't really cooperated all this time. If you could look at the discussion he has made here: Talk:Babymetal/Archive 2#Disruptive edits by SilentDan297 and include your third opinion then that would be great, otherwise I understand if you are too busy or don't want to be included in such a discussion. Hello Static,
Trust you're having a great day, I noticed you placed a Speedy Deletion Tag on article Danagog. I have gone through the criteria and the article in question has independent references and also speaks of an artiste with direct affiliations with one of the foremost record-labels in Nigeria, also this artiste has been on rotation on both local and international TV & Radio stations, a comparison with peer artistes also shows that similar references were provided. It turns out these still didn't meet your criteria, kindly make the article available for further editing in order to further conform to the stated criteria.
Many thanks

Hello,
I mean no disrespect to you or the forum, However before I made the edits to Bizarre (rapper) page I asked first and then did the proper research and referencing. The issue initially was that "Seven the General" is notable but has not enough biographical info for stand alone article, I was instructed to improve any article that I could prove through ref's that he belongs in. I thought I did this properly? based on my references and articles Seven the General is managed by Bizarres Red head records per Bizarre interview Murder Dog #17. Sorry to message again, but I see that you have also reverted my edits made to Cashmere Cat and Mad Decent's roster. I don't see why. Jack U is Diplo's project with fellow artist Skrillex and it was made clear on the official Mad Decent site that Jack U will be releasing everything via Mad Decent's label. Doesn't that allow for the Jack U to be placed under the Mad Decent artist's spot? Additionally, Cashmere Cat has been signed to Mad Decent. He is currently on the roster as two of his new tracks were released under Mad Decent and furthermore, he is taking part in the Mad Decent Block Party. Please do explain in further why I may be wrong,
Thanks
Hey. I noticed you pretty much reverted my changes to the article. Before I (or you, or we) put them back I want us to agree on something; the infobox is clearly too long and it sort of makes the top part of the article a bit of an eyesore. Since infoboxes are meant to be a sort of summary I only left the most popular members of the group (obviously Joey Badass, CJ Fly, Kirk Knight, Nyck Caution and Chuck Strangers, plus Powers Pleasant since he's one of the founders of the collective) in the infobox and put that See members below part to let the reader see the entire roster in the Members section. Putting all the musical artists in both the infobox (making it too long) and the section is unnecessarily repetitive in my opinion. My point is even strengthened by the fact that you left the See members below part in the infobox (which maybe should change to See all members below, although not all the members are listed in the article). Then the artists who made that poster obviously didn't care about putting more actors in the credits who play important characters. The 'starring' section shouldn't have to be like what the poster says, if there's more important characters in the movie than Mark and Stanely, then they should be put in that section. as described in the subject, the musician has reached popularity on national radio rotation (in case of him, international) in the United States. Can you please describe me, why you don't agree with the page, is it bad to help Wikipedia adding new musicians?
Have a great day

Hey Static, it's Shallowharold. I was looking at the new album by The Gaslight Anthem and I noticed that Island Records has introduced a new logo for their label. It's pretty much the world "Island" in capital letters with their signature palm tree logo hidden inside the letter "A". I don't know if you happened to see it, so here's the new logo straight from their website- which is undergoing a change after Universal Music Group decided to dismantle The Island Def Jam Music Group a few months back. http://www.islandrecords.com/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shallowharold (talk • contribs)
Hi, I'm new to this but I've been trying to follow a discussion that you have been involved in and I follow your point. It seems that the article is discussed in many different places in WP and many of the discussions have been moved making it hard to understand what's going on. Could you help me understand how archives and discussions get changed and moved from the subject's talk page. I noticed that this archive [[15]] which says "do not change" cannot be found on the subject's talk page and the archives that are there seem radically different. The resulting new archive on the subject is quite different and misleading. How can one tell when an archive has been changed or removed? Any help with understanding this would be appreciated. Thanks, Nothingknewunderthesun (talk) 20:24, 12 August 2014 (UTC)

I understand what you mean about the need for neutral point of view in relation to the genre of the song So Far.... I still believe that comedy rap should be placed as a genre however. Can you please help to explain either why that would be wrong, or explain how I can make that so that it is a part of the genre. NewJibaJabba (talk) 05:43, 14 August 2014 (UTC)

I'm new here on Wikipedia. Can you edit the article I've created, Denzel Curry. I don't know what you mean by reliable and secondary sources, and I don't want it to be deleted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nba-fan-11 (talk • contribs) 23:38, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
Hey man,
The edit I did was regarding associated acts. I added 2 Live Crew and the 2 members Fresh Kid Ice and Brother Marquis.
Luniz the band of Yukmouth did a featuring on the 2 Live Crew album The Real one. At the time of The Real one Fresh Kid Ice and Brother Marquis were the only two members of 2 Live Crew.
See for yourself https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Real_One.
Also I still haven't figured on how to attach reliable sources.
Thank You

Why do you think Screen Gems is not a distributor? Sony Pictures Releasing is just some name pulled off IMDB. Every Sony movie is released under 3 banners, either Columbia Pictures, Sony Pictures Classics or Screen Gems. Go to the Screen Gems film list and see every one of their film's lists them as the distributor. Koala15 (talk) 00:06, 15 August 2014 (UTC)
Dear STATICVapor,
Please Stop tempering with the Fresh Kid Ice page, however I invite you to help me improve it. I have putted a lot of work into it. This gentlemen is one of the founding father and still a current member of the revolutionary group 2 Live Crew, on top of discovering the rapper Flo Rida. If you need citations I will get to it shortly. While Mr. Mixx and Luther Campbell have pages of their own, I don't understand why you are doing this. I also intend to make a page for the other 2 Live Crew Member Brother Marquis. If you want me to improve my writing, my methods, or my style please give constructive feedback but please do not delete my work.
Thank You

Hello, allow me to offer my kind critique regarding the apparent edit war over at X (Chris Brown album). I know you mean well, but you shouldn't clutter the page history using edit summaries to communicate when you have a lonely talk page designed for that very purpose. You cannot force BRD on others. BRD can work, BRRRD can not. Thanks for your understanding — MusikAnimal talk 06:07, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
I see that you reverted the edit for the sales figure of All of Me. I believe you misunderstood why Hits Daily Double sales figures are not considered reliable. The HDD figures that are considered unreliable are from the building charts and predictions - they collect only information from the major vendors (one day or 3-4 day sales for the prediction and the whole week for the building chart) and extrapolate sales for all vendors in these charts. The extrapolation of the sales is why those figures are unreliable. However, apart from those charts, HDD uses SoundScan numbers and not their own. For example, in this chart, it gives Jason Aldean's previous album (Night Train) first week sales as being 409,000, however its own building chart that week gave the first week sales as 415,155. The 409,000 figure is the SoundScan number. I can give a few other examples. Note that the sales figures in this particular page, although SoundScan figures, are also not used - not because they are unreliable, but because those figures disappear once the album are out so you can't check the figure in the future, and HDD does not allow the page to be cached. The page I cited however is a news item with SoundScan numbers and does not disappear like the other page. Hzh (talk) 11:05, 17 August 2014 (UTC)

Why did you request Deletion of my page The Night Runners?? Did you not look at the references? They are public figures as reported on IMDB, Wikipedia, and many more. --Iampixiedust (talk) 22:10, 24 August 2014 (UTC)
This page should not be deleted because all references have been already previously approved. All references have been well credited from reliable sources such as IMDB, the The X Factor (U.S. season 1) Wikipedia page where The Night Runners were then known as "Illusion Confusion" while being on the show. If you google search "Illusion Confusion X Factor" and look at the images you will clearly see that they are now known as The Night Runners and are public figures. No content on this page violates any copyrights. All content is verifiable, and all terms and conditions are met with The Night Runners Wikipedia page. This page is credible due to The Night Runners being living public figures in the Entertainment industry, specifically the music industry. I kindly ask that you do not delete this page.
Perhaps you should read A7 in the speedy deletion section as it states: It is irrelevant whether the claim of notability within the article is not sufficient for the notability guidelines. If the claim is credible, the A7 tag can not be applied. Often what seems non-notable to a new page patroller is shown to be notable in a deletion discussion. Meaning just because you may not be familiar with the show "X Factor USA" or "The Night Runners" for that matter, does not grant you the right to request deletion of this page when substantial evidence and references have been cited to discredit your accusation of The Night Runners page being deleted.
Hi there, I need your help!
I have been watching the activity within the Run the Jewels (album) page and I've noticed that Koala15 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Koala15) has been unnecessarily removing other user's contribution to the Run the Jewels album and artists page, despite the contributions being reasonably or well sourced. The recent reasons given by @koala15 for removing other users contribution suggests personal preference. For instance, @koala15 refuses to accept the relevance of non-US labels in relation to the Run the Jewels project. Run the Jewels licensed and released their first album on a non-US label (Big Dada / Ninja Tune), for European release; this information was taken from a valid source. Even El-P of Run the Jewels credits this label with helping to expand its accesibility - see this source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BLnKpEW6pg
Is there a way to report a complaint on this user to Wikipedia's admin?
Thanks

What is your problem? Your edits aren't helping The Angriest Man in Brooklyn. Did you see the movie? In the movie, the characters weren't narrating themselves; the actors playing the characters narrated them like they were a different person. The narration part deserves to be where is was. As well as your edit for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, "widespread" shouldn't be included because the word was never used in the article, yet you revert these edits with your good faith BS that makes me feel bad. Want to reject these statements? Reply. I'd like to see what comes out of your head onto this section. - Theironminer (talk) 04:23, 31 August 2014 (UTC)
The final of the 2014 WikiCup begins in a few short minutes! Our eight finalists are listed below, along with their placement in Round 4:
We say goodbye to this year's semi-finalists. Matty.007 (submissions),
ThaddeusB (submissions),
WikiRedactor (submissions),
Figureskatingfan (submissions),
Yellow Evan (submissions),
Prism (submissions) and
Cloudz679 (submissions) have all performed well to reach this stage of the competition, and we hope they will all be joining us again next year.
There are two upcoming competitions unrelated to the WikiCup which may be of interest to those who receive this newsletter. The Stub Contest will run through September, and revolves around expanding stub articles, especially high-importance or old stubs. In addition, a proposal has been made for a new competition, the GA Cup, which the organisers plan to run next year. This competition is based on the WikiCup and aims to reduce the good article review backlog.
There is now a thread for brainstorming on how next year's WikiCup competition should work. Please come along and share your thoughts- What works? What doesn't work? What needs changing? Signups for next year's competition will be open soon; we will be in touch. If, at this stage of the competition, you are keen to help the with the WikiCup, please do what you can to participate in review processes. Our finalists will find things much easier if the backlogs at good article candidates, featured article candidates, featured picture candidates and the rest are kept at a minimum. As ever, questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. It is very clear that Young Buck is resigned with G-Unit. G-unit also just released an EP on G-Unit Records which is why i changed it to 3 albums released. Young Buck is clearly signed as well. There isn't a single source confirmed with anything on their former roster, so why would i have to add one. Take 2 seconds out of your day and google it yourself. It clear news that he is re-signed and G-Unit released a third album. Instead of immediately changing what I just spent time updating, why dont you do some research on it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mcbedford (talk • contribs) 02:23, 2 September 2014 (UTC)

Hello,
I was hoping you would remove the line about the stone creek area of Houston "developing a gang problem" in the early life section of Riff Raff's profile. It was stated in the LA Weekly article about Riff Raff but is unverified. No police log or article that I can find refers to a gang problem in stone creek so I feel it may not stand up to accuracy standards. I would do it myself but the page is locked. I noticed you were able to edit the page. Could you help me amend the description? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bays21 (talk • contribs) 02:03, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
I own property in the area. It does not have a gang problem documented in any other source other than a hearsay account in LA Weekly. Any inference that there is a gang problem in the area can effect the perception of an area as well as the value of the investments in that area. Consequently I feel it would be best to remove that inference. I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything I simply found this by looking at famous people from my zip and found this as a result. Is there perhaps some sort of proof I could provide you to make the edit? I'm happy to secure crime logs for the area and in doing so demonstrate that there is not a gang problem at all. Perhaps the occasional unkept lawn but that's about it. I hope this doesn't make me sound like some greedy land baron I just want the area to be accurately depicted and I'm happy to prove that it is a safe place. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bays21 (talk • contribs) 21:02, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
I only changed it because what was stated was false. Riff Raff had extremely negative reviews. He paid off everyone who gave him high praise for his album.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rojocube (talk • contribs) 19:14, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
Hello, i was surprised that the article page for Remember the Love was redirected to Nomadic (Adriana Evans album). You complimented me doing the article page very well. I made sure to provide as much valuable resources related to the song and its popularity. I'm a fan of Adriana Evans and her great music, did you know "Remember the Love" was and is still one of Adriana Evans most popular songs all around the world and used on the very popular Logo TV series Noah's Arc as well on soundtracks to the Noah's Arc Jumping the Broom movie and the series TV soundtrack. I just felt her song "Remember the Love" highly deserves its own article page and devoted my time to provide as much valuable resources references and external, this is one of her most popular songs in her professional music career. Dshun
Hi i'm thinking it prob would've been better to have noted bulletin at top of article page for Remember the Love stating please help enhance this article page by providing more additional resources, then to have page redirected. I know that bulletin is used often on a few article pages on wikipedia. There are plenty available verification resources online regarding the song "Remember the Love" and the artist Adriana Evans altogether.
Hello, i'm just curious other then a redirect as i just notice your edit redirect for Reality (Adriana Evans song), wouldn't be best as to help improve the article page with more valuable resources yourself or other members then to just redirect the page altogether. Still hard to believe you left a message on my page saying Great Article written for Remember the Love, then later you redirect the page altogether, i don't understand. Still i will mention that's why there is bulletin notes above the article page to state please help enhance or this page by helping to provide additional resources or information regarding the article page. I may need to take a break from taking time and effort to creating a great article page on wikipedia, it gets very frustrating even though i received high rewards compliments from many of the editors on wikipedia through out the last two years.

Uh...I forgot to mention that Linkin Park went on hiatus by September or October 2004 after the last show which was in Sao Paulo.
The reason for this was because the band wanted to give Mike Shinoda a chance to do a side-project, during the making of their 2nd record, Meteora, and during the world tour of the album, he been making Hip-Hop music, his bandmates knew he been making hip-hop the whole time, so they gave him the opportunities to do this. Then the band took a break from music, but they reunited 3 times just for rehearsals, for the Music For Relief show (2005) and Live 8 show (2005) and the 48th Grammy Awards Show (2006). Mike spent time in the studio making his album The Rising Tied. afterward he rehearsed the songs then went on tour. By July 2006, Linkin Park reunited for good, they begun production on the next album which was Minutes To Midnight. By August 2006, his side-project Fort Minor and Linkin Park performed (which was on August 12th, 2006 - Osaka, JP), the only time in history that he ever did that. After that Linkin Park returned to the studio to continue production on M.T.M.. Fort Minor went on hiatus by November 2006, a year after Shinoda released his side-project album.
And...
Here is something you might not know (a lot of people don't know this) but Rick Rubin told the band that they should make music they want, not what their fans want, the early demos/ideas were the same as Hybrid Theory and Meteora, they changed up the sound of the music. Look at the song "QWERTY", its was a song written by Linkin Park on the second week of August in 2006, its written in just 4 days. I read some interview, that style was planned for the next album, but it was for the Japan Tour and was a Reunited Song, to show that they've returned/reunited. They didn't have time to record the song in time, so they record the song after the Japan run but recorded it a littlebit different then it was performed in Japan.
Fast forward to 2014 - The Hunting Party ...the album idea take off where the band left off before Rick Rubin told them to write music they wanted. And Shinoda was disappointed with how rock music is today, he wanted to bring back what rock music is all about, and to return Linkin Park to their Nu-Metal roots.
Shinoda reunited with his friends Styles Of Beyond to make another album, a follow-up to The Rising Tied, it plan-release is either this year or next year. Fort Minor been on hiatus since November 2006 to until the album is release, at this point...I don't know if he gonna tour again as Fort Minor...but Linkin Park has more surprise in store for 2015.
I'm a hard-core Linkin Park fan, I know my stuff.

It seems that movie series made a mistake, John was conceived on May 15th, 1984 by Sarah and Kyle, nearly 9 months later on February 28, 1985, Sarah gave birth to John. The terminator was send back in time to protect him when he was just 10-years-old, T3 mentions it was 13-years.
John Connor = February 28th, 1985 - July 4th, 2032
Should mention that on the page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Connor
I did my research

Thank you for uploading File:BuyTheWorld.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 00:10, 5 November 2014 (UTC)

Hello, STATicVapor. I have noticed that you and BlaccCrab are having a dispute at Buy the World. Personally, to me, I think that the article does not meet the notability guidelines and standards. Edit warring can cause in long-term hatred and other forms of unacceptable behaviours that might be unfolding behind closed doors. I am a victim of a case like this, so I hope you will not feel hate against the fellow amateur editor. I have noticed that you posted a warning message on his/her talk page, and he replied you there in a rude manner. I have told him about it and hope that this dispute will end soon. I have also told him about filling blanks from pictures they have uploaded. I guess you should have a proper discussion about it with BlaccCrab, and please assume good faith. I hope you understand. Ping me for any replies, as I don't use the watchlist. Thanks, DEW. Adrenaline (Nahnah4) 08:35, 18 December 2014 (UTC)
Hi. I'm not sure if you remember, but on July of this year you messaged me not to change the band Dance Gavin Dance's genre and I left it alone afterwards. On December 17 this year someone decided to remove half of the bands info about Acceptance Speech and other history from them because of this""The stuff you're adding is trite and sourced to Twitter and other non-printed webby material." Pretty much all bands Wikipedia pages have the same sources and other "non-printed" Webby material from Twitter and stuff and I don't see any of those pages info and stuff removed from it by you." Let's keep it here. You keep sticking material into other people's conversations. To answer your question: a. maybe you need to look further in my article edits. b. that is immaterial anyway. The content is simply not acceptable: we're not a fan site or a press agency or whatever. Drmies (talk) 18:28, 19 December 2014 (UTC) I was wondering if you can help me do something about this. If not, then ok. A person on Wikipedia name Drimes is the one to message about the problem

Round one of the 2015 WikiCup has begun! So far we've had around 80 signups, which close on February 5. If you have not already signed up and want to do so, then you can add your name here. There have been changes to to several of the points scores for various categories, and the addition of Peer Reviews for the first time. These will work in the same manner as Good Article Reviews, and all of the changes are summarised here.
Remember that only the top 64 scoring competitors will make it through to the second round, and one of the new changes this year is that all scores must be claimed within two weeks of an article's promotion or appearance, so don't forget to add them to your submissions pages! If you are concerned that your nomination will not receive the necessary reviews, and you hope to get it promoted before the end of the round, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. However, please remember to continue to offer reviews at GAN, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs which could otherwise be caused by the Cup. As ever, questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup and the judges are reachable on their talk pages. Good luck! That's it, the first round is done, sign-ups are closed and we're into round 2. 64 competitors made it into this round, and are now broken into eight groups of eight. The top two of each group will go through to round 3, and then the top scoring 16 "wildcards" across all groups. Round 1 saw some interesting work on some very important articles, with the round leader Freikorp (submissions) owing most of his 622 points scored to a Featured Article on the 2001 film Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within which qualified for a times-two multiplier. This is a higher score than in previous years, as
Godot13 (submissions) had 500 points in 2014 at the end of round 1, and our very own judge,
Sturmvogel_66 (submissions) led round 1 with 601 points in 2013.
In addition to Freikorp's work, some other important articles and pictures were improved during round one, here's a snapshot of a few of them:
You may also wish to know that The Core Contest is running through the month of March. Head there for further details - they even have actual prizes!
If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! Hi STATicVapor,
I noticed you made the most significant update to the production credits on Light of Mine, and the reference lists iTunes as the only source for the tracklisting, yet when I navigate to the info section in Apple Music that lists the composers (that service's most in-depth form of credit attribution), the credits are not nearly as precise as the ones you have. I'm just wondering what your source for the production credits is? (I'm not asking as like some wikipedia stickler, I'm actually an editor on genius.com and trying to make sure I have the most up-to-date credits for the album on there).
Lemme know, thanks again!
