William Hogarth Main

[edit]

This article is not about Capt. John or you, unsourced and overly biased anecdotes about you and your friendship are not appropriate or encyclopedic. Please do not restore this again, and also please read WP:COI, as you clearly have one here--Jac16888 Talk 13:06, 22 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Would you like Bill’s phone number or email address to confirm any of this information? Zumrick was integral to Bill beginning work on the Hogarthian Configuration. I’m the only instructor teaching his methods purely. Rvbcave (talk) 14:22, 22 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

For instance, this statement is wholly incorrect: “Described as "a perfectionist," Main and his dive partner Sheck Exley adopted the long hose devised by Exley and began to look at other ways to improve the minimalism, efficiency, and safety of every component of his dive gear“

Zumrick is the person who invented the long hose, not Exley. Rvbcave (talk) 14:29, 22 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

In that case I have removed that sentence altogether. A phone number is not a reliable source, we have no way to verify it's truly the person in question and even if we could "He told me himself" is not verifiable. Please find some real sources, and stop trying to add content about yourself, it's not appropriate--Jac16888 Talk 09:53, 23 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
