I have granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, I believe you can be trusted to use rollback correctly, and for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck and thanks. Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. —DoRD (talk) 21:29, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
I am somehow or other the owner of a TUSC account.
I am requesting a rename on Commons. My current Commons name is Svanslyck. RiverStyx23{talkemail} 14:57, 30 December 2012 (UTC)
Actually, in the English language, there is an exception to the general rule that the final punctuation goes inside the quotation marks. In the United States, in legislative enactments (such as Acts of the U.S. Congress), the final punctuation goes after the quotation marks. This occurs when a statute contains a sentence that amends the language of a prior statute. The material inside the quotation marks must contain only the reworded text of the earlier statute (i.e., the earlier statute as amended). By contrast, all of the enacting material -- including the final period of the enacting sentence -- is placed outside of the quotation marks. Of course, that's not the case in Wikipedia or in most writings in English, as you pointed out. Famspear (talk) 04:12, 8 January 2013 (UTC)
Yep! I see you're familiar with these people, too! Famspear (talk) 16:48, 8 January 2013 (UTC)
I wanted to know if you figured out another solution to the problem you brought to Wikipedia Talk:Transclusion, or if you just gave up on it. It's pretty simple to make happen, but if you need help, let me know, I'd be happy to engineer it for you. Just wanted to make sure that you got the follow-up. User:RiverStyx23/sandbox/Standards is in a Wikipedia administration category. Can I get you to remove it? Cheers. -- Alan Liefting (talk - contribs) 03:29, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
((unblock|DoRD reports that none of the IP addresses from which I have recently edited are currently blocked, and that none of them would even qualify for a web host block, so please (please) may I be unblocked?))

I see no block in your log. What error message do you see when you try to edit another page? Origamiteⓣⓒ 22:13, 26 September 2014 (UTC)
Please use the ((help me)) template appropriately. The ((help me)) template is for help in using Wikipedia, not for unrelated issues. If you would like to ask such a question, replace the code ((help me-inappropriate)) on this page with ((help me)) to reactivate the help request. Alternatively, you can also ask your question at the Teahouse, the help desk, or join Wikipedia's Live Help IRC channel to get real-time assistance. |
Attempting to save prefs to a different skin, I am met with "Forbidden - You don't have permission to access /wiki/Special:Preferences on this server" on my own wiki, and I'm the admin. Another user (who happens to own the hosting company) doesn't get this error. This occurred after upgrading to the current version today. Any ideas anyone? Thanks for uploading File:Osba logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Nick—Contact/Contribs 17:07, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
Your recent editing history at Mass–energy equivalence shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

Hello, RiverStyx23. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
