Hello, I've received a message saying I need to "minimize primary sources" and not use IMDb or Discog. I don't understand. First, primary sources, as opposed to secondary ones, are the academic standard "proof." It appears to me that Wikidpedia sources tend to favor other Wikipedia pages and newspaper or magazine articles as sources. However, the links I've used are mainly to prove the existence of things that are not referenced in any Wikipedia pages or news articles. What solution would you suggest I apply in these cases? Second, I've used IMDb and Discog to show facts about films and record albums (release dates, awards won, etc.), rather than opinions. IMDb and Discog are both film and recording industry standard sources for showing facts about those media. What other sources should I use? There are some reviews (the record albums go back too far), but they're spotty on facts Guidance much appreciated. Thank you! 18:44, 5 March 2022 (UTC)OgHollow (talk)

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
