Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Nyrva Dragonrhyne. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors, as you did on User talk:Doctorfluffy. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Regarding your comments on User talk:Witaku: Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks will lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Edward321 (talk) 23:33, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You're obviously just using your account for disruption, so you're indef-blocked. Wizardman 23:48, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock[edit]

(Please don't archive this message right away - people probably need to see what's going on.)

Based on the evidence on the behaviour on my user page in deviantART, I've concluded that you have the potential to be a valuable contributor, and the indef block issued by User:Wizardman was merely a situational judgement based on the on-wiki evidence at hand.

Usually, this sort of decisions should be done as a result of the subject's plea, but I'm just trying to be a nice person here and go right ahead. Usually, this sort of decisions should be done as a result of community discussion, but I'm relying on everyone to just look at the discussions above and conclude that we've gone a bit overboard.

So I am skipping red tape and I'm just going to unblock you. And here comes the Lecture:

  1. Above all: Ignore the dramatic parts of the world and just stick to editing some boring articles.
  2. Please get at least a cursory look at our core policies. There's many individual policies, but all of them can be summed pretty easily, as that page shows.
  3. Don't do anything rash. If someone makes a move, the correct course of action is to plan your move - not make your move anyway.
  4. Be nice and assume good faith. We all do mistakes, don't flame anyone based on their apparent mistakes. If someone does something you don't like, assume that they thought it was for the good of the community. If it clearly wasn't, calmly bring this to their attention and discuss, and failing that, bring it to the attention of the community as a whole. (And don't take things personally: "You can now flame me, I am full of love".) Which leads to:
  5. Please discuss. Engage in calm and collected debate. All of the cases like yours seem to have began as failures to communicate and failures to react to suggestions.
  6. Try to do what everyone else does. This is not to say we have to conform to everything - it's just to say that you should ignore all rules only if that makes the world a better place.
  7. Don't panic.
  8. Oh, and one more thing: Also understand that blocks are meant as a preventative, not punitive measure. I'm sure Wizardman didn't really mean to be rude; he just had to work on what information he had. So if you do get blocked, don't panic anyway. Just chill down and contemplate on What Went Wrong.

I'm hoping that you really try to read and understand all that, and try to avoid trouble. If you just avoid mad panics, everything will be fine. Like I said, please stick to simple things first.

All the best, and happy editing. --wwwwolf (barks/growls) 15:55, 17 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
