Pokeware[edit]

I am not clear why you posted this at WP:Requests for undeletion - as far as I can see it has never been deleted?

I have altered the title from all-caps, which is not our normal title style. We can change that back if you want, but a quick Google suggested to me that the product is usually referred to as "Pokeware."

The most important thing the article needs is more independent references to establish Notability, a requirement to have a Wikipedia article, which is not a matter of opinion but has to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Significant means more than just listing-type mentions; reliable excludes Myspace, Facebook, blogs, places where anyone can post anything; independent excludes the subject's own website, affiliated ones and anything based on press releases. The point is that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a catalogue of every software product, person, band etc that exists: the test is, have people unconnected with Pokeware though it important enough to write substantial comment about?

If you are Maryse Thomas of Pokeware, please read our guidelines:

Maryse Liburdi[edit]

You have been repeatedly deleting the former name of Maryse Liburdi from her article without giving any reason for said deletion. If you have a case to make that the name given is not a former name for Maryse Liburdi. please let us know, as the article as it exists hinges on them being the same person. If you have some other reason that the former name should be deleted, please raise it in the discussion at Talk:Maryse Liburdi. Otherwise, not only is your deletion going to be continued to be undone, you are likely to face being blocked from editing for edit warring. --Nat Gertler (talk) 22:38, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion[edit]

Information icon Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. --Nat Gertler (talk)

If you don't respond to this complaint you will probably be blocked for edit warring. Note that you may be using a name as your Wikipedia user id that refers to the former name you wish to avoid. Also the first three references in Maryse Liburdi and the first three references in Pokeware mention your former name. If we removed every reference that mentions your former name the articles would lack notability and might have to be deleted. By now the horse is out of the barn. You are warned per the result of the edit warring complaint here (permanent link). If you continue to revert the article (prior to consensus) you may be indefinitely blocked from Wikipedia. Ask for advice if you don't know how to proceed. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 16:11, 20 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Reply to your message on my talk page.[edit]

I have restored the reference in the first line of the article, which makes little sense otherwise because all four of the references in the article refer to the CEO of Pokeware as "Maryse Thomas". Your former name is evidently widely available on the internet, and there seems little chance of suppressing it.

Please see the page Wikipedia:Contact us - Subjects. In order to establish your identity, you should send an email to info-en-q@wikimedia.org from an email address associated with Pokeware, explaining your problem and what you want us to do. I find it hard to believe that any reputable institution would allow accounts to be opened just on the basis of a Wikipedia reference.

On a separate issue, you should know that when I tried to access www.pokeware.com just now, my browser blocked it, saying "This web page at www.pokeware.com has been reported as an attack page", and gave a link to this diagnostic page.
