Hi Mfield, I've got an OTRS ticket where the user asks why a page he wrote Pickupp is not found in a Google search. He sent back a reply that Google told him that the "page is set to no index, no follow". He wonders how to change that but I have never heard of such a page restriction. Can you enlighten me? I can't find anything on the topic. The editor also appears to have a WP:COI and I personally doubt the page really passes WP:N. ww2censor (talk) 17:26, 29 April 2019 (UTC)
Is there any chance I could convince you to hard block the above editor for promo only/NOTHERE? He's been here nearly 3 years and edits only rarely, but every single edit he's made has been to add promo content about either himself or his organization to Lansing, Michigan. A further illustration of NOTHERE can be seen just above the block notice on his talk. I actually meant to click on AIV, not UAA. Pretty sure I'm only asking for the results I would have gotten if I hadn't ham fisted it. Thanks. John from Idegon (talk) 04:49, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
Administrators must secure their accounts
The Arbitration Committee may require a new RfA if your account is compromised.

ArbCom would like to apologise and correct our previous mass message in light of the response from the community.
Since November 2018, six administrator accounts have been compromised and temporarily desysopped. In an effort to help improve account security, our intention was to remind administrators of existing policies on account security — that they are required to "have strong passwords and follow appropriate personal security practices." We have updated our procedures to ensure that we enforce these policies more strictly in the future. The policies themselves have not changed. In particular, two-factor authentication remains an optional means of adding extra security to your account. The choice not to enable 2FA will not be considered when deciding to restore sysop privileges to administrator accounts that were compromised.
We are sorry for the wording of our previous message, which did not accurately convey this, and deeply regret the tone in which it was delivered.

I believe tangotiger is a single person who uses this handle on a number of different platforms (eg, [1]). Tangotiger.com is their personal blog. Please reconsider this block. -- Scott Burley (talk) 05:47, 6 May 2019 (UTC)
So you blocked User talk:Arigorn12 the other day and they literally returned from their block and made the same unexplained content removal. No edit summary, no explanation still. I reported to AIV, but not sure if it will be identified as clear vandalism. StaticVapor message me! 20:23, 6 May 2019 (UTC)
Hi, I didn't remove anything from the Billy Bob Thornton article; in fact, I added a substantial amount of information to it. So I'm not really sure what you're talking about. 2607:FEA8:8400:1E9D:DDD2:4ED5:9835:755F (talk) 03:58, 9 May 2019 (UTC)

Hello, I found you thanks to the nearest photographer tool because I'm looking for someone to visit the Back to the Future trilogy exhibit currently at the Hollywood Museum and photograph each object displayed there (film props, cars, costumes...). Would you be interested to do this ? (sorry for my english) - Groupir ! (talk) 11:07, 12 December 2019 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading File:Ellen browning scripps.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:18, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
Established policy provides for removal of the administrative permissions of users who have not made any edits or logged actions in the preceding twelve months. Because you have been inactive, your administrative permissions will be removed if you do not return to activity within the next month.
Inactive administrators are encouraged to rejoin the project in earnest rather than to make token edits to avoid loss of administrative permissions. Resources and support for reengaging with the project are available at Wikipedia:WikiProject Editor Retention/administrators. If you do not intend to rejoin the project in the foreseeable future, please consider voluntarily resigning your administrative permissions by making a request at the bureaucrats' noticeboard.
Thank you for your past contributions to the project. — JJMC89 bot 00:04, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
