Hello, JRRobinson, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type ((helpme))
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!/wangi 21:02, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
I have reverted your change to Huddersfield Town A.F.C. You added capitals where they were not needed, this is only a minor error, so don't feel insulted. I suggest you read Wikipedia:Manual of Style (capital letters) to avoid similar errors in future. If you have any questions then don't hesitate to ask on my talk page. MichaelBillington 07:52, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
I have moved the article Huddersfield Town F.C. - Results for 2005/06 season to meet the capitalisation style. Thank you for creating it. BlueValour 16:48, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
For a 'see also' it is better to use the template as here: ((seealso|Huddersfield Town F.C. - Results for 2005/06 season)) . BlueValour 16:48, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for your great work on Town's players. I have been adding 'professional' before 'footballer'. This is not a quibble but is needed to meet WP:BIO in case some self-appointed wikilawyer spots the article. Please add this to any other article you create/have created.
A further small point, it is not current good practice to wikify dates unless the year is special e.g. formation of the club and someone might want to find out what else happened that year.
Please get straight on to me with any queries. BlueValour 00:35, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
I reverted your edit to Template talk:Football squad2 start and moved the content to Template:Huddersfield Town F.C. squad. You can add the template to the bottom of each Huddersfield player's article by adding ((Huddersfield Town F.C. squad)) in the appropriate position. SLUMGUM yap stalk 14:30, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

Hi there, I've largely removed your recent edits to this article. I't important to remember what Wikipedia is (an encyclopedia) and what it's not... It's not a crystal ball, nor a rumour mill. Thanks/wangi 21:02, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for your ongoing excellent contributions.
When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. BlueValour 17:13, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
Please write dates out in full, not just 1/1/01. Thanks. - Dudesleeper · Talk 00:41, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
When you put the ((fc)) template into an article, you should be sure to prefix it with subst. The resulting links will be the same, and it requires less work by the computing servers whenever a page is accessed. So, instead of ((fc|Arsenal)), you would put ((subst:fc|Arsenal)). See the Template talk:Fc page for more info. Regards. Neier 11:02, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
I have added a "((prod))" template to the article Manchester United F.C. - 50 Greatest Players Of All Time, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the ((dated prod))
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
Would be good if you could come up with some notable independent references to this list and cite some sources on its factual accuracy. The article is also completely useless without a date to give it historical context. --JamesTheNumberless 18:21, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

Hi, many thanks for creating this template - it is a great idea. I have removed it from category pages, where templates are not used, and from Leeds Road since it is against policy to have such templates on disambiguation pages (and for that reason I have removed Leeds Road from the template). However, if you feel moved to make a Leeds Road (stadium) article that would be a splendid way forward. I have also reshaped the template since it looks better on pages when wider rather than deeper. I have pointed Players to the relevant section in the main article (to be consistent with the approach that you took with Managers) and split the seasons, adding the template to each season. I have also added the template to each FA Cup article. HTH. BlueValour 21:31, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Huddersfield Town F.C. season 2007-08, by PeeJay2K3 (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Huddersfield Town F.C. season 2007-08 fits the criteria for speedy deletion for the following reason:
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Huddersfield Town F.C. season 2007-08, please affix the template ((hangon)) to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Huddersfield Town F.C. season 2007-08 itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 19:22, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on Ryan Crossley, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as articles for deletion. If you can indicate how Ryan Crossley is different from the previously posted material, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template ((hangon)) underneath the other template on the article, and also put a note on Talk:Ryan Crossley saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. We welcome your help in trying to improve Wikipedia, and we request you to follow these instructions. EliminatorJR Talk 18:33, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Zoltán Lipták, by Svetovid (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Zoltán Lipták seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Zoltán Lipták, please affix the template ((hangon)) to the page, and put a note on its talk page. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Holly Walsh a different title by copying its content and pasting it into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. TalkIslander 00:46, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
I can only assume you keep changing the date format and bolding the inverted commas in his name on purpose, and for that you must have a reason. Therefore, my only question is: what is the reason for you to make these changes? The inverted commas are not part of his name, so I see no reason for them to be bolded, and the guy is English, so it makes perfect sense for the date format used in the article to be the international format (DD MMM YYYY) and not the nonsensical American format (MMM DD, YYYY). – PeeJay 23:35, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

Hello JRRobinson! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 31 of the articles that you created are Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to these articles, it would greatly help us with the current 1,781 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the ((unreferencedBLP)) tag. Here is the list:

Hi, have you seen references to this player being known as 'Bob', as I hadn't, and thus added him as a redlink at Robert Jones (footballer born 1902). Regards Eldumpo (talk) 11:38, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
Hi there. I've got some more information on this guy, and am about to add what is not contradictory. But there are a couple of inconsistencies.
According to my source he was born on 29 January 1890. He was born in King's Lynn, so surely it's got to be the same guy. As it's 29/1 vs 21/9, I was just wondering if you could double check the Huddersfield source? It also gives a quite long list of other clubs he played for (which I will add), but makes no mention of the Northern Nomads. I'm reasonably confident that he didn't play for them before he left Watford, because it states that he played for Watford and District schools. Should I move them to the bottom of the infobox, as he's more likely to have played for them after retirement? Regards, WFCforLife (talk) 18:38, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 04:46, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: James Spencer (footballer born 1991). The community has decided that all new biographies of living persons must contain a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article as per our verifiability policy. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:10, 8 August 2010 (UTC)

Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Leigh Franks. The community has decided that all new biographies of living persons must contain a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article as per our verifiability policy. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:10, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
The article Leigh Franks has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the ((prod blp)) tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. The-Pope (talk) 08:10, 13 August 2010 (UTC)
As the reviewing administrator for these deletions, I need to offer you some advice. We are very glad to have articles about footballers, but they MUST have references. If they have appeared in games on the highest level national league---which is the basic requirement for them to have articles in Wikipedia-- there should always be references in the relevant national newspapers, usually easily findable in Google News and Google News Archive. There should also be a discussion or at least a listing of them in the web site for their team, and a listing in the general football web sites. These references need to be added, and they need to be added at the very beginning.
Sometimes I have been able to check articles like these before deletion and add at least one necessary reference, but I cannot promise always to have the time to do so--and football is not one of the subjects in which I have the most personal interest. It is not my responsibility to do this, nor the responsibility of anyone here but yourself. If you can write the article in the first place , you surely have the references in front of you when you are doing so, in order to get the names right and add the key statistics. That's when to do it, and it is your job to do it. It is unfair to expect others to fill in what you can do so easily. I expect that you will start doing this, otherwise you may find that you are wasting your efforts, because the articles will get deleted. I have other responsibilities, and it is taking too much of my available time here to do your work for you, when there are so many other things that need fixing.
Hi, I am trying to clear all the unreferenced BLPs from the category: People from Burnley and this is the last one. Unfortunately I can find absolutely nothing about Mr Harrison outside of Wikipedia. Hi, thanks for this edit but there are a few things I've noticed - firstly, please provde a reliable source so that we can verify the new information; please also use an edit summary to show what you have done. In the infobox itself, we do not italicise the loan details, and we should use British dates (i.e. 24 January 2012) rather than American (January 24, 2012) as the article is about a British person. Other than that, good work! Regards, GiantSnowman 12:03, 24 January 2012 (UTC)

Hi, I see you created Horace Husler, way back - in 2007! I've been collecting pre ww1 Donny players for a list, and found this. I'm almost certain I found his birth year and death year on searches, and with that the correct spelling of his surname (there's only one Horace H Husler - as the song would go).
In the article it says he's a midfielder in the body but a keeper elsewhere - guessing you were using a template that had midfielder in it?! Anyway, would be great if you have confirmation of his position, and anything else about him. Cjwilky (talk) 15:44, 25 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Mark Smith (footballer born December 1961) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Mark Smith (footballer born 1961). This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut-and-paste-move repair holding pen. Thank you. Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Ishmael Miller, as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. JMHamo (talk) 20:19, 2 February 2015 (UTC)

. As people have told you up above, you absolutely must use edit summaries, and most of your edits should not be marked as minor. Please follow the links to the edit-summary and minor-edit help pages that others have given you in previous messages, and please begin using summaries and not marking all your edits as minor. When you've read these help pages, please request unblock, using a rationale somewhat like "I've read the pages I was told to read", since this block is simply meant as an attention-getter: it's not normally a good reason for unblock, but I doubt any admin would reject it when you're just following instructions. JRRobinson (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Having now read this particular bit of the guide, "Consequently, if you are in doubt about whether an edit is minor or not, it is always safer not to mark it as minor.", I do understand the reason for blocking me, but it's not a thing people read straight away, and I'd have thought being safer would be making it minor. The little bits I do are literally what I'd call "minor", even if it involves changing little bits of information, so the reason I've been doing it, is because in my mind, doing something like that is "minor", and not necessary of an edit summary, especially when you can just look at what I have edited on the history page.
Accept reason:
JRRobinson, I've unblocked your account, but please do be more careful with these things. It's not enough to say "go look at the change", because that's what the summary and edit type (minor/major) are for. We certainly don't like using blocks to force editors to communicate and respond to concerns, but that's a discussion for another venue. And thank you for all your contributions. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 22:20, 21 July 2015 (UTC)
JRRobinson, I sincerely hope that the incident that has happened here will not affect your editing here in any negative respect. As a project, you should have been treated with more care and respect and instead were kicked to the curb. I am deeply sorry this happened. Editors should never be treated in the way you were. Vandals are very frequently treated with far more deference than the manner in which you were treated. To go from requests to a week long block which would only be waived if you agreed to the terms you were faced with was nothing short of going from peace and tranquility to being held at wiki-gunpoint with a hand on your throat. The issue of edit summaries was real, and needed to be addressed in a manner to convey something other than requests to use them. What happened was wrong on many levels. I sincerely hope you will not take what happened as being reflective of how we operate, reflective of how you can expect to be treated in the future, nor reflective of your excellent contributions to the project. I believe it is an aberration, and one which I hope will not be repeated. --Hammersoft (talk) 16:19, 22 July 2015 (UTC)

Hi JRRobinson. I wonder could you explain to me why you think Manchester were definitely eliminated in their match against York on 3 August, while all of the other four losing teams have not been? You reverted my edit, but you did not leave any edit summary in answer to my own edit summary question. I have watched the episode again on iPlayer, but I don't see any clues. Many thanks. Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Ishmael Miller. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Hi, I thought I would send out a message to prominent editors who work upon the articles that cover each Series of the The Apprentice (UK). I have begun to start wondering if we, as editors, are doing the right thing by writing out these articles in a manner that seems to be not encyclopedic as they should be in regards to the general principle of Wikipedia. I state this because, over all of the Series that have been done, all information on each episode that has been broadcast, editors write out the Episodes in term of detailing a general review of a task, the setup of teams, who won and who lost, the reward provided, who was fired and why, and noting down notable events and such like associated to the episode.
Now, when QI's main article was made, editors decided to cover each Series by writing out everything that was discussed as an answer to a question, as if it was a fact of importance; even I was one such editor who did this. Eventually, a Wikipedian finally decided to end this by deleting the pages and just ensuring that the episodes were listed in terms of their number, title, the guests on it and who won that episode, and the Air Date it was first broadcast on (including QI XL).
The fact is, I believe that this is happening again in regards to this show, in that any Wikipedian who comes to the articles in each Series, are generally writing out information that appears to make the site appear more like a Blog, than an online encyclopedia. I fear that unless action is taken now to discuss what should be going into these articles, someone may come along and decide it may be necessary to delete these pages. I have started a discussion on this matter, over on the Talk page for the show's article, and would like you, as a Wikipedian who has been involved in these articles, to provide input on the matter.
I hope that by discussing the matter, we can generally determine what action should be taken on this issue. Please take time to consider this, when you can, and do pass this on to any Wikipedian that you know, has been editing these articles alongside yourself. Thank you for reading this. Hi JR how are you ?. I do editing on Snooker, Tennis and Darts. I want to add Runners-up finishes to each players wiki pages like we have in Snooker and Tennis. A complete list of finals. For example let's say Gary Anderson has played 90 Career Finals. He has 60 tiles and 30 Runners-up finishes I want to state this on the page to match other sports that I have mentioned. We have a complete record of all players past results on Darts Database so getting all the results is no problem as we have a great source. Let me know your thoughts please ?. OK JR talk to me my man how will me go about doing it ?. I reckon if we start with the current big-names MVG, Taylor, Anderson , Lewis, Wade and Barney. Wikipedia editor Insertcleverphrasehere just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:
Good work on these new Darts articles. It would be good to have better references than just a player listing at a darts database. Have a search and see if there are any news articles (even local ones), etc that can support each article. These players probably classify for subject specific notability criteria, but is better for their long term survival if they can unambiguously meet WP:GNG as well. CHeers and keep up the good work.

No we are not the Darts commentators on ITV do not count the WSODF as a major just a regular tv event. Can we sort this out ?. 31.200.191.129 (talk) 20:25, 20 September 2017 (UTC)
Here are the PDC Order of Merit Rules. Rule 2.1 unambiguously states that the World Series of Darts Finals is a Premier Invitational Event, distinct from the World Series, which comes under "Other Events". Unless you have a reliable source that says that the PDC is incorrect in listing its own rules, can I ask why you are constantly removing it from the template. OZOO (t) (c) 09:06, 3 October 2017 (UTC)
Because it has not been regarding by the PDC as a Tv Major in any other year so why now , it has not been called a major by broadcasters and Darts statisticians who have regarding it as a WSOD TV event. Maybe they have just included in there as it is on TV I don't know. MVG'S previous WSODF wins have been counted on no sites as majors. Check the stats for yourself I compile data. 178.167.199.106 (talk) 01:45, 15 October 2017 (UTC)
Please use AT LEAST two sources for EVERY article you create, especially those on living people. And do not just list a darts website as an external link- use it as a citation and include a footnote. Hi. I am currently watching the new pages feed and I keep seeing you make mostly blank articles about sports events that will not happen for months, it is my understanding that unfinished articles should be titled as drafts.
You can move drafts to become articles when they are ready. Please consider doing this with all your articles about future sports events, please note that you will still get credit for being the article creator at the point the article is published.

The article 2018 PDC Players Championship 14 which you started didn't include the word "darts" until the name of one of the navigation boxes right at the bottom: I've now added it to the lead sentence. Please remember to include context in the lead of every article, so that someone who doesn't know what "PDC" means will be able to see what the article is about. (This is a common failing - I had to add "In tennis" to another article just recently!). Thanks, PamD 15:07, 10 November 2018 (UTC)
Hello, JRRobinson. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)

An article you recently created, Mindaugas Barauskas, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:

The article Lukas Wenig has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Not notable. Played 1 PDC tournament and lost his first match. The only references in this article are darts databases, no coverage from reliable media sources.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the ((proposed deletion/dated))
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing ((proposed deletion/dated))
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. PKT(alk) 12:09, 3 August 2019 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Marvin Wehder requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Richard Osman's House of Games, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tie (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hello, JRRobinson. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Veniamin Symeonidis".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply and remove the ((db-afc))
, ((db-draft))
, or ((db-g13))
code.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Hello,
Just bringing to your attention that I have created a new template to help ease the inclusion of PDC player links in tournament brackets.
You can check it out here Template:PDCFlag.
Long story short, ((PDCFlag|Gary Anderson))
displays Gary Anderson . (without having to transcribe the country code or the piped link. There are avg and bold parameters as well so
((PDCFlag|michael van gerwen|avg=123.45|b=1))
displays Michael van Gerwen 123.45. They're also all spanned with the "nowrap" class so we can avoid having to use that.
Cheers, and I hope this makes our lives easier! If you have comments/ideas for parameters or noted bugs, please let me know. —DLManiac (talk) 23:16, 27 November 2020 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Mark Cox (darts player) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mark Cox (darts player).
— Amkgp 💬 15:33, 18 February 2021 (UTC)

Hello, JRRobinson,
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username John B123 and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, Steve McNally (darts player), for deletion, because a consensus decision previously decided that it wasn't suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. Please be aware that articles you have recently created are being deleted or nominated for deletion, and the reasons why this is happening. The database sources you are using are inadequate for demonstrating notability; significant coverage in independent reliable sources is normally required. Please review WP:N, WP:BLP and WP:NSPORTS (and WP:RS). It seems very unlikely that the necessary sources exist for most of these players, so please do not create any more articles without having found such sources. Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. --John B123 (talk) 22:31, 18 February 2021 (UTC)

Hello JR how are you doing ?. I think the legs won against throw is wrong for some players in the event. The reason I say that Gary Anderson was 1–4 down last night and got it back level at 5–5 at one stage. I only had live scoring on so I did not see the darts. Anderson had won 9 lwat the previous night and he is still on 9 so that is wrong anyway. Where can we check to find the right 'legs won against throw JR ?. Kind Regards 92.251.135.107 (talk) 09:26, 22 April 2021 (UTC)

Hello, Can you please explain why twice you have undone my edits and you've submitted the same section with exactly the same stuff. I don't have to edit the whole article every time, that is why their is a thing called "Update date" so other editors can see what has been edited and what still needs to be edited. --Skyblueshaun (talk) 11:15, 22 August 2021 (UTC)
Hi,
Can you please stop undoing my edits to the Huddersfield Town managers page? As Corberan missed the Derby game due to COVID, Schofield took charge so it should be documented as such.
Thanks
L
i.e. Corberan is still in charge, but having to manage from afar, it's clear as day!!! JRRobinson (talk) 14:06, 25 August 2021 (UTC)
Hi JR how are you ?. You created a homepage for the above player under the article name of Lewy Williams and not Lewis Williams. He goes by Lewis and is listed by the PDC as Lewis and is also Lewis on their order of merit list. Can you change the name of the page to Lewis Williams (darts player) please ?. Regards 92.251.174.240 (talk) 10:04, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
If you listen to all the times that he has played he’s always been referred to as Lewy, not Lewis, and arguably, it’s much simpler calling him Lewy on here, rather than Lewis without any extras on the end. JRRobinson (talk) 10:08, 4 September 2021 (UTC) JRRobinson (talk) 10:08, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
But why is he referred to as Lewis in official PDC tournaments and order of merit. Lewy is a nickname. We don't call MVG Mike van Gerwen because it is his nickname. It is not about what is simple it is about what is right. 92.251.174.240 (talk) 10:11, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
But unlike others, he’s actually being referred to as it by officials during matches, as you say the officials don’t called van Gerwen as MvG, but they do refer to Williams as Lewy, so I think it’s fine in my books. JRRobinson (talk) 10:14, 4 September 2021 (UTC) JRRobinson (talk) 10:14, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
But I don't think it is fine does that count ?. Maybe that is the Welsh pronunciation for Louis as we would spell it in English no ?. 92.251.174.240 (talk) 12:07, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
Well considering that his own social media pages put his name down as Lewy, I think that’s the clincher. JRRobinson (talk) 12:11, 4 September 2021 (UTC) JRRobinson (talk) 12:11, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
FYI, I created separate lists for the affiliate tours "CDC Players" and "DPA Players". This way, we can use the same structure for these tours without adding all of those players to the main PDC list (Because it would get too large). To use these just add the parameter "org=CDC" such as Jacob Taylor . I'm gonna work on adding similar abilities for the other affiliate tours. DLManiac (talk) 03:30, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
I created the draft Draft:2021 PDC Players Championship series so we can cover the PC series a little more in depth without creating pages for each individual tournament. All the seed and performance info is on the DC Match center for each event if you're interested in helping me out with filling in the data! DLManiac (talk) 19:14, 11 November 2021 (UTC)
Once again, I am not being lazy, each section should be dated so I don't have to edit the whole article every single time. Sometimes you have gone a few days without even adding the result in, especially when Huddersfield lost. --Skyblueshaun (talk) 14:23, 12 December 2021 (UTC)

Hi JRRobinson - can you please explain your edits? It is officially called the EFL Cup and it should be consistent throughout the entire article. It should not be called the League Cup in the statistics section, that is incorrect. It should be called the EFL Cup as it already is in the infobox and the body of the article. If there is a good reason to rename a page, it should be done by using the "Move" link at the top of the page. Copying the content of a page and pasting it into a new page is not an acceptable way of moving a page to a new title, because doing so loses the editing history, which must be kept to comply with Wikipedia's copyright licensing terms. JBW (talk) 14:42, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
Hi, I see you're creating pages for European Tour events. I'd like to ask, where do you get information for entrants, like when players from ProTour Order of Merit are announced (what is the cut-off date), or how host entrants are defined (like is it 2 highest host members from ranking and 2 host nation qualifiers, or different rules)? I'd like to create articles for future events, but it's very difficult to find something meaningful on PDC pages.

Hi JR. Thanks for your recent articles on darts players and competitions. It's not a huge problem, but if you'll take a friendly tip from another JR from down the road from you: it really would be good to see more references in your creations. A citation at the end of every paragraph is ideal. This is especially important for BLPs and it also helps show notability, making it less likely they'll be nominated for deletion (which I see you've had trouble with before). Just something to think about. Otherwise thanks again and happy editing, – Joe (talk) 13:09, 22 June 2022 (UTC)

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote.
The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

... at least not in the context of an excyclopedia that mostly follows its manual of style that says to avoid unnecessary capitalization. Parenthetic comments, e.g. "(second round)" are certainly not a place where caps are expected, nor are other non-initial uses of "second round". Darts articles should not be the exception. Dicklyon (talk) 06:33, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
OK, I get that to you lowercase letters make it "look poor". It's OK that you feel that way, but not OK to use that as reason to edit contrary to guidelines. Also, your use of Template:PDCLink in the same edit is pretty bizarre, as it's not related to your undo, and it's an obscure undocumented template such that editors can't even see what its intent is. If you don't back out your edit, I'll ask for a third opinion. Dicklyon (talk) 10:09, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
Per comments at Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#JRRobinson, you need to let go of your ownership issues and let other editors fix deviations from guidelines. I've reverted your revert again. If you want to do the PDCLink thing, go ahead, but don't combine it with a revert of my fixes. Dicklyon (talk) 09:25, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
An article you recently created, Loick Ayina, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) WP:NFOOTY is no longer a valid SNG, so GNG must be met. It needs several refs from independent, reliable, secondary sources to pass WP:GNG. It should have at least 3 of those. Please remember that routine sports coverage does not satisfy GNG, and that interviews, being primary sources, do not go to notability either. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:

Request reason:
I think the topic-ban for me on darts is OTT. I do positive things on the darts pages, I make them accessible for many people. I try and improve them as much as possible, but it isn't easy, hence most are normally starter pages with primary sources. This ban almost feels like a breach of my human rights. If I have perceived to have done any personal attacks, I'm sorry, but that just shows how passionate I am about this topic. But, please undo the ban, it's detrimental to the site, not just me. Request reason:
My blocking is unjust, mainly because the topic ban originally put on me was unjust in the first place.
All I do is help with the darts pages, a topic underfed with articles on the site, and only since Christmas 2022 have some users decided to try and disrupt the tranquil nature that has been upheld by the Wikipedia:WikiProject Darts community.
I have NEVER done anything to make the site a worse place, all I have done is try and improve the information available, which I'd like to think is an obvious goal for Wikipedia.
I only did proxying (as you call it) as things always need updating, and I feel that it's my responsibility as a dedicated editor to uphold those virtues, and make sure that the site is up to date.
And don't punish User:Catb2006, he didn't have to accept my request, he just did it out of the kindness of his heart, and I think he's also in agreement with me (and probably nearly all darts editors on here) that the users who have suddenly come out of the woodwork for no reason have just ruined everything on here, regardless on whether or not you think it's following "guidelines" or not.
Also, I don't just do darts, everything I do on here is HELPFUL, I don't spam articles, I don't make derogatory comments on pages, I only make things better!!
The original topic ban should be revoked, as all I have done was try and maintain the status quo, which was NEVER complained about until recently, and this indefinite ban should be lifted, as my contributions on here are well documented, and I overwhelmingly do more help than hindrance on here.
All the other users who claim they are being helpful, but are just ruining the darts pages, should also be held to account. I know they'll say stuff like "WP:GNG" and "lack of secondary sources", but the fact is that it's not easy to do, and I think it's more important that we get more information on here to share with everyone.
The fact is that they made no attempt to hear my point of view and just decided to bulldoze along with their way of thinking, which is detrimental to the darts community.
So, please reconsider this block, and let's actually try and sort this out with some sense of civility. JRRobinson (talk) 08:39, 3 April 2023 (UTC)
Decline reason:
You clearly violated your topic ban by getting someone to proxy edit for you. You had the chance to weigh in when the topic ban was applied, and you made an appeal that was rejected. Even if you disagree with this, you are still bound by it. You clearly do not think you have done anything wrong this entire time, and this request continues to show that. I see no grounds to remove the block which is necessary to enforce your topic ban. Perhaps the block can be removed if you can convince us that you will cease attempting to contribute in the area of your band until it is successfully appealed- but this is going to require some contrition on your part and a change in attitude which isn't yet forthcoming. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 10:21, 3 April 2023 (UTC)

Of note; I have moved the article that was created by User:Catb2006 via proxy editing to Draft:2023 US Darts Masters. The article creation follows the same problematic pattern as highlighted at the topic ban discussion and at this AfD for an article created by JRRobinson. I have also left a warning for Catb2006 regarding proxy editing. Hopefully this ends the behavior patterns. --Hammersoft (talk) 18:49, 4 April 2023 (UTC)
At this point, I think we're in WP:LISTEN territory. JRRobinson, you talk of another darts page being deleted for "no reason whatsoever". Seriously? Do you think administrators go around deleting things for no reason? Obviously there's a reason, and that reason complies with Wikipedia:Deletion policy. If you're referring to this AfD, it was a properly filed AfD that ran for the appropriate amount of time and had NOBODY agreeing the article should remain. That's isn't "no reason whatsoever". I just don't think you're getting it. Completely irrespective of your topic ban, you don't seem to be understanding that creating articles based largely or entirely on primary sources is a non-starter. I'm sure you've been referred to this before, but just in case you haven't please carefully read WP:PRIMARYSOURCE, especially where it says "Do not base an entire article on primary sources, and be cautious about basing large passages on them."
This is the problem you keep having, and it's not constrained to darts pages. I note this article creation where you did the same problem. Virtually the entire article is based on primary sources. You say you're not creating rubbish? According to WP:PRIMARYSOURCE, that's exactly what you're doing. You insist you are correct, but you're not. You also don't seem to learn from past mistakes. I wasn't a big fan of your block back in 2015 about edit summaries, but that doesn't take away from the reality of community expectations. In the last 100 mainspace edits you've made, only 5 had edit summaries. Just 5%. Further, you're still marking edits that clearly aren't minor as minor [4]. The reality is it doesn't matter that you're topic banned from darts. Your behaviors that are outside of community expectations are going to keep happening. You're so motivated to do what you think is right that you're willing to violate our proxying policy, and are willing to continue to evade your block and topic ban by using IPs. You don't seem willing to engage in working with the community, but instead insist the community has it wrong, nobody can do the work you do, and you're the best person for the work. This sort of attitude is not in keeping with how Wikipedia works. I'm not going to review your block request, but I would deny it if I did. If another administrator agrees with your unblock request, I strongly suspect you're going to continue the behaviors that got you topic banned in the first place (again ref the Headley article). It's the same problematic pattern. --Hammersoft (talk) 13:39, 6 April 2023 (UTC)

There's something really fishy going on here with regards to User:Drinkdrinker. This is exacerbated by the fact that you've been evading your topic ban by editing while logged out, which leads me to assume a lot less good faith when you deny operating a sock puppet. You also seem to believe that updating articles in your pet topic area is more important than following the site's policies. I don't really think Wikipedia is the right website for you. I've already said I won't even bother trying to get involved with darts pages, so please just let me get out of your hair and let me return to regular editing.
Decline reason:
The impatience and otherwise poor attitude demonstrated below convinces me that unblocking would not be a good decision. Seraphimblade Talk to me 23:47, 27 May 2023 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the ((unblock)) template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

The original topic ban should be revoked, as all I have done was try and maintain the status quo, which was NEVER complained about until recently, and this indefinite ban should be lifted, as my contributions on here are well documented, and I overwhelmingly do more help than hindrance on here.Name calling is not a help and nothing I've seen in the intervening months indicates this is an editor who can act productively. I won't take action as I'm obviously involved, but I would absolutely decline this request and consider yanking TPA. Star Mississippi 17:42, 22 April 2023 (UTC)
"Wait at least six months, without sockpuppetry or block evasion". If it's true you've been sockpuppeting, then you are running as fast and hard as you can to never being unblocked again. You've been here 17 years, with 43k edits. If it's true, you're throwing away all of that in favor of managing to get in a few edits on a small handful of articles. Why? You've been given a lot of advice here by a lot of people. Most (but thankfully not all) of it has fallen on deaf ears. If you ever want to be a part of this project again, I strongly...in the most adamant of terms...recommend you reconsider your entire approach to this project. For the record, I'm now against unblocking until the sockpuppet case concludes. If you have been sockpuppeting, it's better to come clean now and stop wasting everyone's time trying to investigate this. I'm not asking you to out yourself (i.e., don't comment on the IPs), but if you've used registered accounts to do so please save us the effort of having to keep investigating this and acknowledge it. That would at least bring some small token to the table of willingness to work with the community rather than against it. --Hammersoft (talk) 15:24, 23 April 2023 (UTC)
An article you recently created, 2023 German Darts Grand Prix, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. The article Manuel Vilerio has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non-notable darts player; fails WP:BASIC & WP:GNG due to lack of significant coverage in independent secondary reliable sources. Only sources are databases and routine darts results.
In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. wjematherplease leave a message... 11:07, 17 May 2023 (UTC)

The article Rennie Harrison has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Footballer with a single career appearance and not enough sources to meet GNG

Good morning. At the 2023 World Cup of Darts, you get 2 points for winning a match in a group, not 1, please don't change that. Szymiiiii (talk) 11:46, 16 June 2023 (UTC)
