A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Workity, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Deleted article Workity[edit]

According to the continuing advertisement reproaches, it seems to be important to describe, why I created this article about Workity. When I found the List of collaborative software, I added Workity with an external link to the official web site, because Workity is a new web based collaboration platform. But those changes have been removed on the grounds that no external links are accepted. So I added Workity again refering to a not-yet-existing (red-linked) article. But those changes have also been removed on the grounds that no red-linked articles are accepted. So I created the new article about Workity using the content structure mostly used by the other software tools given on the List of collaborative software. But I don't understand, why the content of the Workity article is not correct, since some of the other software tools (e.g. GroupVille or Basecamp) also just list a number of features and external links. The German Workity article has already been deleted due to advertisement and lack of notability ("Sieht wie Werbung aus, relevnaz nicht erkenntbar"), please stop creating articles for the sole purpose of advertising. It seems to be important to describe that you stood out with repeated link spamming. - 83.254.215.235 (talk) 18:52, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Neither GroupVille or Basecamp have particularly good articles, and shouldn't be used as an argument for including Workity. Basecamp at least has some independent references. GroupVille looks like a deletion candidate. Holger, if you know of any place that Workity has had independent, significant, reliable coverage to show how it is notable, then we can turn this article around. @Marasmusine: There will be some notable references to Workity in the near future, but to end this discussion, it is fine with me to delete this article. I just created it as a matter of completion according to the List of collaborative software. HolgerRath (talk) 08:21, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
@83.254.215.235: Since you already took care to remove all Workity references in the German Wikipedia (even those which have already been accepted for months), I would appreciate it, if you could to the same in the English version after this article has been deleted. Thanks in advance. HolgerRath (talk) 08:21, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
