Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. I shall continue to edit one specific aspect of the Hitchens page with citation and reasoning until it remains permanently changed. I am referring of course to his nationality. The man was English; born and raised in England by English parents. While Hitchens did indeed hold American citizenship as an adult, nationality and citizenship are not the same thing. Moreover, as cited, the man himself is quoted in his memoir as saying "But there is no such thing as an 'English-American' let alone a 'British-American'", before going on to say, "...that makes hyphenation redundant. Hyphenation - if one may be blunt - is for latecomers.”

Please do not refer to Christopher Hitchen as 'British-American' when he has made it quite plain it does not apply. HammerOfThorium (talk) 03:12, 3 March, 2015 (GMT)
