169.136.0.0/16

Not just Broward schools, though they seem to be the largest consumer of IP addresses in the range. That range is Florida Information Resource Network, which represents at least one public library system, and I can think of at least one state college in the range. They used to incorrectly label ALL IPs in that range as BCPS, but they have since fixed that. I remain not a fan of these mass range blocks except to deal with IP hopping vandals. What Is My IP Address.com identifies it as Broward County Public Schools.[1]Gilliam (talk) 04:06, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
What is my IP address is wrong; I've personally edited from two different IPs in that range, one being an old Charlotte County Public Schools IP and the other being one belonging to Florida SouthWestern State College, not that either of those institutions are reasons to not block the range because they have their own schoolblocks. Go to ARIN.net and look up 169.139.19.96 (the Miami-Dade one) and 169.139.115.67 (FSW), and compare the results to whatismyipaddress.com. The old Charlotte County one still says Broward County Public Schools at ARIN because CCPS doesn't use it anymore. PCHS-NJROTC (Messages)Have a blessed day. 12:42, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Lake Mirror, Winter Haven

I'm about to revert your most recent edit to Lake Mirror (Winter Haven), or you are certainly welcome to if you wish. The mention of the reason for naming Lake Mirror applies to the Lake Mirror in Lakeland, not Winter Haven, as the article referenced is about naming lakes in Lakeland.

Thanks! Lakemirror (talk) 00:43, 2 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I will self revert. According to GNIS, there are two lakes with the name Lake Mirror in Polk County.– Gilliam (talk) 04:08, 2 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks...I live on the one in Winter Haven. People always think I'm referring to Lakeland when I talk about it. Plus when I say Winter Haven, most people (non-locals) think I'm talking about Winter Park. Sigh. Lakemirror (talk) 16:46, 2 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Lakemirror: It's a small world; I spent my childhood in Winter Haven. If I recall, there's a chain of 100 lakes there. Spent four years at Eagle Lake Christian School, then I graduated from Lake Shipp Elementary before moving to Punta Gorda in the early 2000s. Vandalism on Category:Jacob

Hey Gilliam, No one seems to be patrolling AIV currently and myself and few other editors have a very disruptive editor [2] at Category:Jacob that has been going on for a while. Can I get a quick block? Thanks, HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 06:15, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Done.– Gilliam (talk) 06:17, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

your block of user:Sit and Hop

I suggest adding talk page access to this block. User is an obvious sock of globally blocked User:Sit and Pop, and is a long-term block evader. Meters (talk) 23:45, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

See [3] and Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Caidin-Johnson Meters (talk) 00:00, 4 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Page protection

Hi Gilliam, can you please protect the Jusuf Nurkić page? Thanks. -KH-1 (talk) 03:24, 16 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Done.– Gilliam (talk) 03:25, 16 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Can you also take a look at WP:AIV, there's a bit of a backlog. -KH-1 (talk) 05:06, 16 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Feel free to remind me to check AIV at any time; normally I catch vandals using my 153K-page Watchlist as a dragnet.– Gilliam (talk) 05:30, 16 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Gooseflesh12

Gooseflesh12 is using rollbacker to restore BLP violations at Mackenzie Phillips. You gave them rollbacker rights. Please explain to him that removing poorly sourced accusations of incest is not vandalism and he is abusing rollbacker. --2600:8800:1300:16E:E89B:725F:420F:8368 (talk) 20:01, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed there has been no recent activity at Talk:Mackenzie Phillips. Perhaps you should explain there how the material you wish to remove is objectionable.– Gilliam (talk) 20:03, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Really?? Read WP:ONUS. He's at 3 reverts with invalid "vandalism" claims. Someone saying "My dad knew the guy that's accused of incest and my dad told me it was true" is not an account we consider reliable. --2600:8800:1300:16E:E89B:725F:420F:8368 (talk) 20:07, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Re

I know you are not satisfied with this part. But even if I state the reasons on the talk page, these tags will stay on articles for years. If I can, I will fix it myself. But I am not omniscient, so maybe I can't do much.O1lI0 (talk) 00:07, 18 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
