Good catch on this! I nominated it for ITN, although the article may be a little sparse at the moment. Still probably deserves a mention there. Happy editing!

Hi. I wanted to explain why I reverted a change you made to Lauri Hendler. In this edit, you added a birth date, but you didn't cite a reliable source. Wikipedia has strict rules on content in biographies of living persons because this can impact real peoples' lives. Please be aware that many sites on the internet purport to give information about celebrities, but few of them of reliable. Sites like the IMDb use user-generated content, and they should not be cited in biographical articles. Similarly, celebrity gossip websites should not be used because most of them don't have a history of fact checking or publishing corrections. Fan sites and blogs are self-published and have no editorial control. We also can't use primary documents, such as government birth databases or genealogical websites (which are also typically user-generated, as above). This means that the number of available sources is quite slim, and we often have to either go without this information or wait until a source like Entertainment Weekly or the BBC publishes an interview that includes a birth date. If you're not sure whether a source is reliable, you can ask at Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 03:04, 29 June 2023 (UTC)

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Samuel Wilber Hager you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by ChristieBot, on behalf of Ganesha811 -- Ganesha811 (talk) 16:01, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
The article Samuel Wilber Hager you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Samuel Wilber Hager for comments about the article, and Talk:Samuel Wilber Hager/GA1 for the nomination. Well done! If the article has never appeared on the Main Page as a "Did you know" item, and has not appeared within the last year either as "Today's featured article", or as a bold link under "In the news" or in the "On this day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear at DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On this day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. Hi FatCat96. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 13:47, 4 October 2023 (UTC)
Hi FatCat96, I noticed you are from the Appalachian side of Kentucky. I have occasion to be in that area as my retired parents currently reside in the town of Berea, Kentucky. Small world!
Quick question: as I am new I'm just learning but in your instructional blurb you mention an option to click a 'New Section' link at the top of this page but it appears that it currently is called 'Add Topic', is that correct? Thehoneybear (talk) 20:37, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
Thanks for your notification that you undid my edit at https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=James_Farish&diff=prev&oldid=1178930523 because you considered it unconstructive. I must say I am bewildered by this reaction. I did provide an edit summary "Undid obvious vandalism", and if you look at the revision which I undid (i.e. the one where a one-time editor had added the sentence "Rumor has it that he has [sic - we're talking about someone who lived in the 1830ies] one of the largest phalluses in Bombay history") I think you might understand why I didn't elaborate any more on my reasons for qualifying this as vandalism. It is true that superficially it may have looked to you as if the statement I deleted was referenced, but if you look at either the quoted page on google books itself (which, unsurprisingly, contains no information of this kind whatsoever), or at the history of the James Farish page itself (where you will see that the editor whom I consider a vandal simply inserted the above-quoted sentence before a reference which had already been in the article before, and which only provides information on which a preceding sentence is based), you will see that there is absolutely no reason to believe the edit I removed was based on reliable sources, or indeed made with any other intention than that of making a childish dick joke. So you may understand why I am bewildered that what you chose to treat as vandalism would have been my removal of this sentence, rather than the addition of it last year. In any case I would ask you (as someone who in contrast to me is knowledgeable about the correct formalites of wikipedia editing) to consider removing the bit that I attempted to remove, or to explain to me what makes it a valid, non vandal edit that should not be removed. 2A01:C23:5D4C:8600:34B6:A570:DD6B:3E80 (talk) 21:33, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
Hi FatCat96. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers
" user group. Please check back at the permissions page in case your user right is time-limited or probationary. This user group allows you to review new pages through the Curation system and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or nominate them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is vital to maintaining the integrity of the encyclopedia. If you have not already done so, you must read the tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the deletion policy. If you need any help or want to discuss the process, you are welcome to use the new page reviewer talk page or ask via the NPP Discord. In addition, please remember:
The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you also may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In cases of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, or long-term inactivity, the right may be withdrawn at administrator discretion. If you can read any languages other than English, please add yourself to the list of new page reviewers with language proficiencies. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 21:47, 18 October 2023 (UTC)
Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.
Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

Hello FatCat96:
WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than 2 months outstanding reviews from the current 4+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 November 2023 through 30 November 2023.
You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.
Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
The article Lawrence W. Hager you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needing to be addressed. If these are fixed within 7 days, the article will pass; otherwise it may fail. See Talk:Lawrence W. Hager and Talk:Lawrence W. Hager/GA1 for issues which need to be addressed. I have noticed that you used rollback to revert my edit on this page. My opinion is that I have followed the policies and guidelines and have even referred to this page for the creation of the table, you could notice that both the tables are almost the same structure. If I did something wrong, I would like to know the reason why my edit was reverted. I would correct my mistake (if there is one) and would contribute to Wikipedia accordingly.

Hello, I hope you are doing well. I just noticed your autopatrolled request at WP:PERM and observed that you are not using DEFAULTSORT for biographies. I wanted to inform you that DEFAULTSORT is essential for biographies so you should start using it in your articles. I chose not to add this as a comment on your permission request because I didn't want to disappoint you. Thanks! – DreamRimmer (talk) 03:50, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
The article Lawrence W. Hager you nominated as a good article has failed ; see Talk:Lawrence W. Hager for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of the article. Message delivered by ChristieBot, on behalf of Cookie dough dingus -- Cookie dough dingus (talk) 01:01, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
Hi FatCat96, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.
Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.
Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 20:54, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add ((NoACEMM))
