Hi - you mention on your talk page that you are able to get a photo of some things in Canberra. I've been doing up the NSW railway station pages, which includes the ACT page, and the photo for Canberra station isn't too good, and it has a steam train in the middle of it too. I was wondering that if you had time, would you be able to cycle over to Kingston and get a photo of the railway station when the train isn't there. Trains arrive at 11:21am Monday to Saturday, 4:29pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, and 10:31pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays - so there are always 2 trains a day. If you get there about half an hour before the train arrives you should find that the station is open and you can go onto the platform to take a photo. If you could help that would be great. A photo like that of the one in Queanbeyan railway station, New South Wales would be the sort of thing I'm after - good coverage of the station platform. Any help would be great. Thanks. Sorry I couldn't answer earlier Dfrg.msc. Thank you for the translations, I can understand a little now. How come you don't have the film on your userpage? You're right, that film is junk, the good kind. :-) | AndonicO Talk | Sign Here 21:42, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
I'm not kidding, they are very strict. Take a look here at some pictures I nominated which were refused. Even though the shoe is shinier, it is much brighter afterwords (look at the difference of the stairs).
I'll add a link of the brick film to my userpage soon. | AndonicO Talk | Sign Here 22:41, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
Hi Dfrg. Yeah, as you might have noticed, the coffee lounge appears to be in its last days. Anyway I think that this Esperanza overhaul will be very beneficial. Congrats on your wikichildren, I was thinking about getting one the first time I heard about this adopt-a-user program, but then decided to join admin coaching instead. I became an admin a week ago so now I've been busy with administrative roles especially those connected to vandal-fight. I'm glad to hear that you're becoming a vandal fighter, it's such a cool job. :-) Apart from the Wally-is-gay vandalism that you've mentioned, you'll soon discover that vandals have other favorite clichés, such as "hi mom", "poop" and "I like cheese" (you should have seen all the vandalism to Stingray when Steve Irwin died). I hope to see you reporting vandals to WP:AIV, I help clearing the backlog there all the time. Always follow the set of warnings before reporting, and when you spot some humorous vandalism, consider warning the vandal with the ((behave)) template and warping their nonsense to WP:BJAODN. :-) Your userpage is very neat and clean now. What did you do to all those userboxes? I hope that you donated them to some Australian charity institution. Platypuses for instance are in great need for userboxes, we gotta help them. Speaking about userpages, recently I created a Wikipedia Office Tower on my userpage, it helps me with all the shortcuts. I secretly hope to be plagiarized. I'm glad you dropped by, Dfrg. :-) Best regards.--Húsönd 00:58, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
Being an admin is alright, at least I feel much better now that I don't have to report vandals to AIV and wait sometimes half an hour for them to be blocked. Hey, why don't you try popups? It's a good tool for fighting vandals. Cheers.--Húsönd 01:29, 21 November 2006 (UTC) PS:How did you find out that I have a sister? I have a whole set of sisters as a matter of fact. One thing that I've learned in this life is never go shopping with women. Such precious knowledge should be on Wikipedia actually.

Well, maybe we can create an award with the cigarette carton man (and his dog). :-) WP:POPUPS are easy to install and enable you many actions by simply having your mouse on a wikilink. You may e.g. see a diff without having to open it, and promptly revert it with a single click. Very handy, you should try it. :-) Regards.--Húsönd 03:04, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
Hehe, funny. I have found some cases of vandalism where I feel like giving the vandals a "Vandalism for dummies" book. Spammers are particularly boneheaded, sometimes adding their spam link and writing something like "adding a link to my website" in the edit summary. You'll laugh your teeth off many times to come. :-) Regards.--Húsönd 00:10, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
Here are some Bloody Pointless Userboxes, the first on was created out of necessity, because that's happening more and more. Second is a Smell funny Userbox, primarily for use on my test site and WP:VPP. The third, is a protest to the uncontrollable tide of stupid, meaningless ans contradictory userboxes. The forth is just because bricks are funny. Dfrg.msc 1 . 2 . 3 10:31, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

I don't want to get into an edit war. You reverted my edit on the NYPD page. I am willing to discuss the part about changing on his wedding day to in front of a stip club. However, can we both agree that the phrase The popo is a no go. Fo Shizzle. --Zippy1981 00:51, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
How about changing the sentence to On November 25, 2006 police officers shot and killed an unarmed man outside of the Kalua Cabaret in Jamacia, Queens. The man was attending his bachelor party the night before his wedding.
Also, why do you want to keep the phrase "the popo is a nogo". --Zippy1981 01:16, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Are you ready to get started?
The waiting time over at Admin coaching is long (some people have been waiting in line since July). I'm an admin coach with the project, and for my students I set up a group discussion page so that we could all learn from each other. The scope of this concept has expanded into the Virtual classroom, which is an open forum for the teaching and learning of advanced Wikipedia skills.
Anyone and everyone is welcome to participate, as a student, as a coach, or both. Every week or two a new major topic of discussion or classroom assignment is introduced, usually with a guest writer who presents his or her expertise on the current subject and who remains on hand to answer questions. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the discussions, such as sharing your expertise, asking and answering questions, etc.
The current topic of discussion is vandalism, and our guest writer is Budgiekiller.
All discussions are open-ended, so all previous discussion topics and classroom assignments are still there for viewing and further participation. There are also sections for posting miscellaneous topics and questions, requesting coaching assistance, etc.
In addition to inviting those who would like to learn, I routinely invite experts from all over Wikipedia to come and contribute for the benefit of all. The VC is rapidly turning into a clearing house of the best resources, methods, and techniques known for working on Wikipedia.
You are cordially invited to participate.
Here's an announcement box which you can place on your userpage or at the top of your talk page for keeping up to date with classroom assignments.
I hope to see you there. Sincerely, The Transhumanist 07:59, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
Concordia is currently trying to relaunch. I, and all the members of the ex-council, wish to welcome new members to the group. We are a group who aim to promote remaining civil, in an environment where messages can easily be interpretated wrongly.
We are a community, so can only work though community contributions and support. It's the helping that counts.
The council expired one month ago, but due to the current position of the group the current council will remain until the position of the group can be assessed, and whether it would be sensible to keep Concordia going. For most decisions, however, it will be decided by all who choose to partake in discussions. I am trying to relaunch because of the vast amounts of new members we have received, demonstrating that the aims are supported.
If you wish to opt of of further talk-page communications, just let us know here.

There is a small dispute over some of the editing going on and I was wondering if you could take a look at the history of the page which should explain the situation. In the beginning, Jimbo created MediaWiki and Wikimedia. MediaWiki was empty and had no form. Darkness covered the ocean, and Jimbo's Spirit was moving over the ocean. Then Jimbo said, "Let there be Wikipedia," and there was Wikipedia. Jimbo saw that Wikipedia was good, so he divided Wikipedia from the darkness. Jimbo named Wikipedia "day", and the darkness "night". Evening passed, and morning came. This was the first day. Then Jimbo said, "Let there be something to divide the MediaWiki in two." So Jimbo made the air and placed some of the MediaWiki above the air, and some below. Jimbo named the air, "Wikimedia". Evening passed, and morning came. This was the second day. Then Jimbo said, "Let the MediaWiki under Wikimedia be gathered together so the dry land will appear." And it happened. Jimbo named the dry land "categories" and the MediaWiki that was gathered together "portals". Jimbo saw that this was good. Then Jimbo said, "Let the categories produce articles—some with information, and others to disambiguate information." And it happened. Wikipedia produced articles with information, and disambiguation pages. Jimbo saw that all this was good. Evening passed, and morning came. This was the third day

I would just like to say thank you for your advice. It has been helpful and I do still think that some of the information is bias. For example :“But for many the real revelation of the series was Paul Burrell, who, after being slated by the press, proved his worth in the eyes of many.”(This may not have been the real revelation for many. It is also un-sourced.) “Series five was in many ways a rather average series.” (It may have been the best series for some), “and even more surprise when Matt Willis won.” (for some it may not have been a surprise at all, in theory for most, seeing as he got the most votes from the people, it would not have been a surprise.) “Some press coverage speculated just how close his relationship with Linda Barker was.” - this is un-sourced. Also user User:DukeBoy78 is reverting back to previous versions even though you have made some edits. Is this right?
I just don’t think that some of the changes are good enough for Wikipedia. (Because of the bias and un-sourced information and slang words like spats and slated by the press.) Again, Many Thanks, 13:10, 18 December 2006 (UTC) Eagle Owl

G'day Dfrg.msc. Please help me. I saw your AWB edit on the Canid hybrid page (19:56, 19 December 2006), which removed three underscores. But I cannot see any re-categorisation as per the edit summary. I took the liberty of sussing out the AWB tool, which dictates "Avoid making insignificant minor edits such as ... removing underscores from links ... or something equally trivial.". I also looked at the CFD page, but could not find any mention of the Canid hybrid page.
Have I missed something? Please reply on this page. Gordon | Talk, 12:01, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Hi Dfrg.msc, thank-you for your response to my AMA issue, as posted on my talk page. Note for starters that the history of the Anal Stretching article has been made available thanks to my concerns, here: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Anal_stretching&action=history (you can find this link on the Deletion Review page in the Anal Stretching node)
Your suggestion about the article being locked for recreation, that I recreate the article on my usertalk page and then call Guy to review it, is rather problematic. Firstly, Wikipedia should be a collaborative effort, and it is unfair to ask me to rebuild an article from scratch all by myself, and, if you review the history of the article before it was up for deletion orginally, you will see that it was never that bad at all, in fact only 1 paragraph in the entire article could even be accused of being a how-to guide, and as for the bad referencing, I think it just needed to have a small referencing cleanup -- I was all for amendment as opposed to deletion.
Let me conclude with these two points and please let me know your response:
That said, I thank you for your input whenever you are ready.
I am in no mood to re-research an article that was nearly good before it was deleted. That's just stupid.

The article Meggs (street artist) has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia.
