Hello, DanishGirIInheaven, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Sophie Santos, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.
To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)
In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.
Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place ((Help me))
before the question. Again, welcome! Drmies (talk) 23:41, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
Thanks for creating Sophie Santos. An important tip: When writing, make sure to always paraphrase the source you're using. In your original version, "Santos constantly found herself on the move throughout her childhood and early adult life" appeared verbatim in the cited source. It's important to rephrase this information, for example, "Santos moved frequently with her parents". You can see WP:NFCC for a fairly technical overview, but the gist is that Wikipedia takes copyright seriously, and we always need to paraphrase (except for the occasional direct quote).
Anyway, thanks again, and don't feel bad; I made this same mistake early on too. Please let me know if you need any assistance, for example by writing a message on my talk page. Ovinus (talk) 12:02, 1 October 2022 (UTC)

Hi there, DanishGirIInheaven, and welcome to Women in Red. On the basis of the biographies you've already written, you certainly deserve to be a member of the project. With your knowledge of Danish and German, you should be able to help us along with writers from these countries too. If you have not already done so, you might find it useful to look through our Essays, in particular our Primer. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 08:22, 15 March 2023 (UTC)

((unblock|Your reason here ~~~~))
. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.DanishGirIInheaven (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I am writing to request the unblocking of my Wikipedia account, which was blocked after a sock-puppet investigation which I don't believe I was a part of. I respectfully believe that the block was unnecessary, as I have not violated any of Wikipedia's guidelines or policies.
As you may already know, my account has been creating clean and informative pages about women authors that I discovered on Women in Red project on Wikipedia for several months now. I have always strived to ensure that my contributions adhere to Wikipedia's high standards of accuracy, neutrality, and verifiability. In fact, my account has received positive feedback and commendations from other editors and moderators on several occasions.
I am confident that my account's contributions have been constructive and have added value to the Wikipedia community. I am also aware of all the Wikipedia guidelines and policies, and I would never knowingly engage in any activities that violate these rules.
I humbly request that you review my account's activity and consider unblocking it as soon as possible. I am eager to resume my contributions to the Wikipedia community and continue to help create accurate and informative pages. Thank you for your attention and consideration of my request.

Decline reason:
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the ((unblock)) template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
I am not sure then whats the reason that my account is blocked. I am well versed with Wikipedia UPE guidelines and would never go against them. I am not associated to any of the accounts mentioned on the case page. From the past months I'm editing Wikipedia with whole and sole dedication. I request you to please unblock me as editing Wikipedia is one of the few things that I really enjoyed doing. I am not doing this for money or to fulfill a personal agenda. I created almost 26 articles and I have done nothing wrong as almost all of them were approved by senior editors. I'm saying this again that I will never go against Wikipedia guidelines ever and will never use my account abusively or to vanadalise a page. This is a humble request to please let me do what I love. Women in Red 8th Anniversary | |
In July 2015 around 15.5% of the English Wikipedia's biographies were about women. As of July 2023, 19.61% of the English Wikipedia's biographies are about women. That's a lot of biographies created in the effort to close the gender gap. Happy 8th Anniversary! Join us for some virtual cake and add comments or memories and please keep on editing to close the gap! |
