December 2014[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text ((unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~)) below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text ((unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~)) below this notice. Thank you. 5 albert square (talk) 01:17, 14 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

DPXfornarnia (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)

Request reason:

I am not a group, but so that I don't run in to any more trouble, I want to change my name. DPXofficial (talk) 14:51, 14 December 2014 (UTC)

Accept reason:

Although it would, indeed, have been just as easy (and permitted) to create the new username, I am allowing username change to requested username. Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. the panda ₯’ 21:33, 22 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
That looks okay, but read our policy of WP:COI. What would you edit if you couldn't edit about DPX? Origamite 23:38, 14 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Just general stuff. I'm not in any way related to a company, and I assure you, I am in no way trying to promote or even associate with the companies named DPX. It was just a mere coincidence that the name that I chose was the same as a company. It happens sometimes. Anyway, I have, am, and going to adhere to the Wikipedia general interest. I'm just a regular editor with an unfortunate name. DPXofficial (talk) 04:14, 15 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, then. You'll have to wait for someone who can unblock you to stop by; there are a lot of unblock requests open at the moment and not enough admins to go around. Origamite 13:19, 15 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, Origamite. If I remember correctly, my IP block should almost be up, meaning that I could still edit without the account. DPXofficial (talk) 13:21, 15 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Or you could just create a new account; it would probably be faster and easier. You're welcome! Origamite 13:40, 15 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
