A tag has been placed on Tim Bridgewater requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. The article Tim Bridgewater has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable candidate for public office. Declined speedy on the basis of "election" but such election was to party posts, not public office.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the ((dated prod)) notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing ((dated prod)) will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Thank you for your suggestion. When you believe an article needs improvement, please feel free to make those changes. Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone can edit almost any article by simply following the edit this page link at the top. The Wikipedia community encourages you to be bold in updating pages. Don't worry too much about making honest mistakes—they're likely to be found and corrected quickly. If you're not sure how editing works, check out how to edit a page, or use the sandbox to try out your editing skills. New contributors are always welcome. • If Bridgewater gets deleted, which seems likely, I'll nominate the other primary challengers for deletion too, since they're clearly of equivalent notability. The primary challenge is an important issue right now, but it deserves coverage on the Senate election page, not in individual biographical articles. -LtNOWIS (talk) 17:26, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
