Although some prefer welcoming new users with cookies, I find fruit to be a healthier alternative.

Hello, ApharionDeSol, and welcome to Wikipedia! I am Sam Sailor and I would like to thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Some pages of helpful information to get you started:
  Introduction to Wikipedia
  The five pillars of Wikipedia
  Editing tutorial
  How to edit a page
  Simplified Manual of Style
  The basics of Wikicode
  How to develop an article
  How to create an article
  Help pages
  What Wikipedia is not
Some common sense Do's and Don'ts:
  Do be bold
  Do assume good faith
  Do be civil
  Do keep cool!
Do maintain a neutral point of view
  Don't spam
  Don't infringe copyright
Don't edit where you have a conflict of interest
  Don't vandalize
  Don't get blocked

Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.

The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun! To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put ((My sandbox)) on your userpage.

There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:

  Fight vandalism
Be a WikiFairy or a WikiGnome
  Help contribute to articles
  Perform maintenance tasks
Become a member of a project that interests you
  Help design new templates

If you need further help, you can:

  Ask a question

or even:

Ask an experienced editor to "adopt" you

Alternatively, place ((helpme)) on your talk page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Again, welcome,  and happy editing!

Your recent edits[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 09:06, 29 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked[edit]

I've blocked this account indefinitely for sockpuppetry per the findings of Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Kevoras. Mark Arsten (talk) 22:59, 31 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

hihi, I hope I do doing this right. I found out today that I am blocked, for being 'confirmed' same user as MatthewBuchwalder and TomokoFujita, we are exchange college students in the province of Guangzhou, all three of use originally from Port Jefferson NewYork, and we happen to share the same apparent now. I was the one enaged in the Worldcoin talk after a fellow classmate enticed me to join a week earlier. I thereafter invited my housemates to join and make a call themselves as there was a debate and I wanted more people to voice up, but I can't say I didn't influence them a little, I definitely did, but we are all individuals with pictures to prove it if necessary. My friends and I didn't know there is such rule as 1 computer per user, as we are kinda new, but they agreed if that is the case, they will give up their accounts if we caused Wikipedia any trouble. My wish is that I can be unblocked as an individual account on this computer. Let me know! Apha 04:46, 4 February 2014 (UTC)

Decline reason:

We don't need the pictures. Multiple accounts making same or similar edits on the same IP are treated as the same user. --jpgordon::==( o ) 06:10, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the ((unblock)) template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

ok i see declined. So does this mean I need to start a new account now? how does it work now? I would like to continue to contribute to wiki, but my account is locked. Please advice!!

Decline reason:

Request an unblock from your original account. Nobody's buying that you're not a sock. Max Semenik (talk) 09:07, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

'Nobody's buying that you're not a sock. User:MaxSem' , well, you are all wrong then, really. You could have asked for driver's license all that, but guess you guys have conflict of interest already very evidently, and That's too bad. Wikipedia appears much more corrupted than I thought it was. Thanks for the time though. I will go back to being a reader (of misinformation) only now. please cancel my account if you can, thank you.

Decline reason:

I'm not sure what "conflict of interest" you're talking about or how a driver's license has anything to do with an IP address, but as this is not a request to be unblocked, it is declined as a matter of procedure. If you do not wish to continue using this account, you may simply cease using it. - Vianello (Talk) 10:26, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
