Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, professionally known as Priyanka Choudhary is an Indian actress and model who primarily works in Hindi television. She is best known for portraying the roles of Keerthi Jain in Yeh Hai Chahatein and Tejo Sandhu in Udaariyaan. In 2022, Choudhary participated in Colors TV's reality show Bigg Boss 16 where she finished as 2nd runner-up.[1]

Early life

Choudhary was born in Jaipur, India. In 2019, she changed her birth name from Pari to Priyanka due to astrological reasons.[2] Choudhary completed her schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya in Jaipur and graduated from Kanoria PG Mahila Mahavidyalya.[3]

Career

Choudhary started off her career as a model and hosted several public events. In 2013, she made her acting debut with German TV series titled The Girl With The Indian Emerald. After that Choudhary started featuring in several Punjabi music videos.[4]

Choudhary made her television debut in 2019 with Colors TV's Gathbandhan as Sejal Parekh. In the same year, she made her OTT debut in Ullu app's 3G Gaali Galoch Girls.[5]

In 2020, she played a pivotal role in Star Plus TV series Yeh Hai Chahatein[6] and in the same year she was also seen in an episodic lead role in Savdhaan India – F.I.R. From 2021 to 2022, she was seen in Colors TV's Udaariyaan as Tejo Sandhu.[7][8]

In October 2022, she entered as a contestant in Colors TV's reality show Bigg Boss 16. She stayed in the house for twenty weeks and emerged as the 2nd runner-up.[9]

She recently wrapped up the shoot of ALT Balaji web series Dus June Ki Raat, where she plays the lead role opposite Tusshar Kapoor.[10]
