ArbCom reasons for desysopping
[edit]Wikipedia:Former administrators/reason/for cause lists 38 instances of desysopping by ArbCom decision:
- For showing consistently poor judgment in performing administrative actions
- For repeatedly not meeting the community expectations and responsibilities of administrators as outlined in WP:ADMINACCT
- In conjunction with CheckUser and Oversight removal; endorsing the Audit Subcommittee's findings
- For admitted violations of the neutral point of view and biographies of living people policies
- For repeated abuse of sysop powers, both past and present
- For using administrator tools while involved (cited evidence listed multiple instances, over a period of two years)
- For poor judgment, uncommunicativeness, wheel warring, and other misuses of administrator tools including rollback and blocking powers
- For wheel warring and conduct unbecoming of an administrator, in the face of previous admonishments regarding administrative conduct from the Arbitration Committee
- For conduct unbecoming an administrator, and for bringing the project into disrepute
- For use of administrative tools while involved in an editing dispute, and for reinstating a reverted administrative action without clear discussion leading to a consensus decision
- In conjunction with revocation of edit filter permissions; findings of fact: edit warred, misused edit filters, cited BLP inappropriately, used and previously used admin tools while involved, previously admonished
- For consistent poor judgement and failure to follow Wikipedia's policies and guidelines
- Under the Level 1 desysopping procedures (while ArbCom was considering whether to resysop, the administrator voluntarily "resigned the bit")
- Findings of fact: ran an unauthorised adminbot, unblocked himself, used a sockpuppet to evade a block
- For misuse of administrative tools and failure to relate appropriately with other administrators
- For repeatedly violating the policy on administrator involvement
- Findings of fact: violations of restrictions on automation and automation policy, undisclosed use of automation, conduct and responsiveness
- For off-wiki harassment
- Findings of fact: controversial action as an administrator, use of administrator tools while involved
- Level II desysop for reversing an arbitration enforcement block out of process
