Career

[edit]

Ahumuza started his fashion house Abryanz Collections when he joined university. He later dropped out of university to concentrate on the business.[3][4][5] Under Abryanz Collections, he styled artistes and celebrities from Uganda and abroad including Demarco from Jamaica, Wiz Kid and D’Banj from Nigeria, Diamond Platnumz from Tanzania and more.[6][7][8][9]

In 2013, he launched the annual Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards (ASFAs) to honour fashion icons in Uganda.[10] He expanded the awards to the East African region in 2014 and in 2016 the awards started recognizing major fashion icons in the whole of Africa including Africans in the diaspora.[11][12][13]

He joined the panel of judges at the 2018 Miss Uganda beauty pageant as the only male guest judge during the progressive selection process.[14][15][16][17] He was named Ciroc ambassador in October 2016.[18]
