Hi, if you are here trolling, take a hike. Otherwise, enjoy every moment of your life while the day is young, don't forget to tell people you love them. Don't forget to say sorry. And don't be an asshole.

I'm trying to help my friend and partner manage his Living Bio Page and keep vandals from wrecking it. It's not an easy job. I have a life. Obviously, others don't. lol.

Below was the very first iteration of the page. It's changed a lot since 2015 and not necessarily with nice people helping. Be a good person. Don't break other people's stuff.

Academic & Service History

In May 2009 he began the ongoing process of "walking away from empire" and he then created an off-grid homestead in southern New Mexico. His first memoir, Walking Away From Empire, is a series of essays describing his intellectual, emotional and philosophical journey that led to his departure from his tenured position as full professor at the University of Arizona.

Dr McPherson runs a blog at GuyMcPherson.com, called Nature Bats Last, that focuses on global climate change, energy decline and the very real possibility of imminent human extinction due to greenhouse gases. Specific topics range, and include philosophy, evolution, economics, humanity, politics, current events, and many aspects of the human condition, but always in relation to Near Term Human Extinction. It receives more than 2000 hits a day and has a large community of regular readers and essay contributors. The articles are updated every few days and all points of view are welcome, as long as the general idea relates somehow to Near Term Human Extinction.

He regularly updates a section of the blog called Climate-change Summary and Update, where he collects and analyzes the latest peer reviewed data on climate change.

Dr McPherson travels and lectures on climate change and Near Term Human Extinction as a result of the combined crises of Climate Change, Ecosystem Deterioration, and Economic Collapse. His lectures are free.

November 1st, 2015, Dr. McPherson will be featured on the National Geographic show, Explorer premier, with host Bill Nye .
