The purpose of this page is to collect information on the deletion notification methods used by different WikiProjects and to facilitate notification of WikiProjects of WP:PROD nominations. This relates to a discussion on Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion (permalink). To date, Wikiprojects have been added as they are encountered in CAT:PROD. The formatting on this page may change dramatically without warning as it continues to evolve.
One WikiProject has been categorically excluded from this activity to date due to its broad scope: Wikipedia:WikiProject Biography. In a second case, there is an open question as to whether PROD-notification is worth the effort: Wikipedia:WikiProject Australia.[1]
In cases where multiple WikiProject banners are present multiple might be interested, the most specific one is typically used for notification; for instance, if there are tags for both WikiProject India and WikiProject Indian Literature, the latter would be notified.
Link titles below generally refer to WikiProject titles (e.g. WikiProject Hello → Hello). If a resource that holds deletion information for a WikiProject does not share the WikiProject title, this is indicated, most commonly as a trailing superscript.
Boilerplate
Discussion should go to the article (PROD)
The following useful boilerplate was composed by User:Caknuck with subsequent revision by User:Ceyockey; it was originally used on Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Baseball. Consider adding it to the PROD-deletions section of the appropriate page when extended discussion or multiple discussions ensue; this happens in only a small subset of cases.
Rather than discussing PROD-nominees here, it is better to contribute to the talk page for the article nominated for deletion. If you agree with the proposed deletion, you don't have to do anything or you may second the nomination. If you think the article merits keeping, then remove the ((prod)) template and make an effort to improve the article so that it clearly meets the notability and verifiability criteria.
No articles at present (PROD)
This is a placeholder for sections when no articles are listed as active PROD-nominees. The text shown is in commented-out form, used when there are active deletion nominations.
<!--no articles proposed for deletion at this time-->
Archiving (PROD)
Boilerplate to accompany lists of resolved PROD-nominations.
the disposition shown indicates the outcome of the PROD, not necessarily the ultimate fate of the article
Group notifications (AFD)
Each Deletion Sorting page has a boilerplate bit that refers people to the page and notified topic group which is appended to an on-going AFD. There are more non-DelSort notification pathways than DelSort pages, as evidenced below. The following boilerplate might be used in those cases; this boilerplate is not complete and there are many variations that need to be considered.

Rejections: Don't put PROD with other deletion types
Australia:[1] This objection is based on a technical issue. There is a bot that populates the Australians Notice Board which operation is compromised by inclusion of a PROD section on the DelSort page. A discussion is ongoing about whether PROD notification is at all useful to the WikiProject or not.
WikiProject using a Project-specific Deletions page
In these cases, some deletion-related list appears on the main page of the WikiProject. Most of the links here are to the specific section on the main page that contains the notices. Instances where entries appear on the main page via transclusion from another page are not included here.
The following either do not appear to have a deletion discussion forum other than the main WikiProject talk page or specifically direct PROD notifications to the WikiProject Talk page. Posts to pages in the Talk domain should be signed usually; SineBot will sometimes sign postings that you have failed to sign in the Talk domain.

Master Table Set
Fully Automated Solutions
There are a small number of WikiProjects that have pursued fully automated solutions to alerting members of events related to articles. It is generally desirable to automate the notification process because this frees editors from some types of time-consuming surveillance activities.
This list of inactive WikiProjects (based on the presence of Template:Inactive on the WikiProject main page) provides cross-references to where PROD notifications could be placed. The date when the line item was last verified is included here so that if a long time has passed one might wish to confirm that the WikiProject remains inactive or not.
^ abcStandard DelSort notification for AFD is page transclusion; for PROD is use of Template:Prodded. PROD's, where accepted, should be set off in a separate section, demoted relative to the AFD section header; this allows for proper formatting of TOC in aggregate DelSort pages.
^ abc"Freeform" indicates that there is no guidance at the location so that one should follow precedent of notifications present for consistency. If none are present, use best judgment in notification format.
^ abcdefghiTypically for WikiProject Talk page notifications, best form is to create a new section for each notification. Exceptions exist, which are addressed in line items within the table.
^Biography:Athletes: If there is a WikiProject devoted to a particular sport, typically biographies are sorted to that sport (e.g. Football, Baseball, Basketball)
^ abcdefghijDelSort link added to Main page in January 2008
^ abSeveral conversations were conducted prior to a proposal for an Albums and Songs DelSort page which received no comment; see his archived input.
^ abSongs and Albums are handled by the same DelSort page; therefore, can't deconvolute the two from one another. Together, though, the traffic value is 100–250.
^ abcDelSort can be used for archiving AFD's if desired
^Neopaganism: the main WikiProject page refers persons to User:NeoFreak/list; however, I did not see an appropriate section for addition of PROD notifications.
