The pansexual pride flag.

This is a timeline of pansexual history. Pansexuality, or omnisexuality,[1] is the sexual, romantic or emotional attraction towards people regardless of their sex or gender identity.[2][3] Pansexual people may refer to themselves as gender-blind, asserting that gender and sex are not determining factors in their romantic or sexual attraction to others.[4][5] Pansexuality may be considered a sexual orientation in its own right or a branch of bisexuality, to indicate an alternative sexual identity; it is also sometimes used interchangeably with bisexuality.[3][6][7] This timeline only features people that have specifically called themselves pansexual (rather than bisexual).
