The Survivalist is a 2015 British science fiction thriller film directed by Stephen Fingleton[3] and starring Mia Goth, Martin McCann, and Olwen Fouere.[4] Filmed in Northern Ireland,[5] the post apocalyptic thriller[6] is in UK cinemas and on demand 12 February 2016.[7]

Plot

Set in a time of starvation, the Survivalist lives off a small plot of land hidden deep in the forest.[8] Living off the grid the survivalist relies on primal instinct and his wits to stay alive.[9] A starving woman and her daughter uncover his refuge, seeking shelter and food.[10] Naturally suspicious of all strangers, he succumbs to his desire and strikes a bargain for the daughter's services in bed in exchange for bed and board.[11] This generates a tense ongoing arrangement in a kill or be killed world.[12]
