The game sets in an alien hostile world where an giant endless Cylinder rolls through the land, destroying the creatures that lived there as a gargantuan rolling structure of ancient origin, rolled by a giant creature behind it. Players must take control of a herd of small alien creatures called Trebhums who inhabit the alien planet, replete with other exotic creatures and wildlife. As players progress through, they unlock mutations alter the creatures’ physical capabilities which lets their Trebhums fly or learn to swim through these evolutionary phases and help expand the gameplay experience, as new areas then become reachable and puzzles become more easily accessible. Players will have the option to equip different mutations for each creature, allowing them all to develop into something wholly unique.
In August 15, 2019, while a third sequel to Rock of Ages was announced by Modus Games, instead of Altus, in collab with Giant Monkey Robot and would be released in 2020, another game, based on another prototype in 2015 titled The Endless Cylinder by ACE Team co-founder Carlos Bordeu, was announced from Good Shepherd Entertainment which sets in a survival genre later on.[1][2]
