I would like to align this template with ((Proxyip4)) and ((Proxyip6)). The idea is that ((Proxyip)) can be used with an IPv4 or IPv6 address or range and it selects automatically the specific template. An example can be found at ((Proxyip/sandbox)). The current version seems to be pretty much unused. The new version could be used by default at WP:WPOP, since reporting users sometimes enter IPv6 addresses in the ((Proxyip4)) template. Simplifying it to ((Proxyip)) would remove this friction. What do you think? --MarioGom (talk) 18:38, 18 March 2021 (UTC)
