"The remaining members of the Royal Family are the Crown Prince and Crown Princess’s other children, His Highness Prince Sverre Magnus and Master Marius Borg Høiby; Her Highness Princess Märtha Louise, Mr Ari Mikael Behn, Miss Maud Angelica Behn, Miss Leah Isadora Behn, Her Highness Princess Ragnhild Mrs Lorentzen, Mr Erling Sven Lorentzen, Her Highness Princess Astrid Mrs Ferner and Mr Johan Martin Ferner." (kogenhuset.no)
"The members of the Norwegian Royal House are Their Majesties King Harald and Queen Sonja and Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit and Princess Ingrid Alexandra." (kogenhuset.no)
According to the official site, this template does not list members of the so-called Royal House nor the members of the Royal Family. It lists people who would be members of the royal family by "British rules" (monarch, consort, monarch's sons, daughters, daughters-in-law and male-line grandchidlren, and other princes and princesses). Although they are not royalty and they normally should not be members of the royal family, they apparently are and Wikipedia can't decide who is member and who is not. So, should we add these people to the template? Surtsicna (talk) 18:50, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
Only the constitution of Norway determines whether someone is a member of the Norwegian royal house. The list on the website is very much unofficial and includes some people who are in the personal and extended family of royals, but not in any way royals, holders of any special constitutional status or members of the royal house themselves. The template should only include the actual royals, who hold either the title King, Queen, or (Crown) Prince or Princess, or those without titles who are in the line of succession (the Behn children). Norway is different from the UK, in that any royal person automatically holds the title of Prince or Princess of Norway. The Behn children is a special case, since inheritance rights to the throne for children of a princess didn't exist in the previous generation, meaning the Behn children are technically not royal, but could theoretically become so if they inherited the throne. In Norway, it is the constitution, not the king, who determines whether someone is a member of the royal house, and the only way of becoming so is by being a legitimate descendant of it or by marriage. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Minnatre (talk • contribs) 14:55, 27 September 2013 (UTC)

User:Killuminator persists with disruptively adding a person who is not a royal to this template. Today, the royal family has clarified again (per [1]) that he is "not a public person" (in the words of the website of the royal family), not a royal in any way, shape or form, does not have any public role at all (unlike his half-siblings), is not part of the royal house, and they have even deleted the brief biography that was previously added to their website (despite him not being a member of the royal family) to further clarify that he is not a royal and not a public person, and that he certainly doesn't belong in this template. (Of course, it is self-evident that a biography on a website, which did not make any claims of him being royal, didn't confer any royal status on him, a status which is only conferred by the constitution). --Minnatre (talk) 20:34, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
